This cutter DOES NOT use standard utility blades as another reviewer reported. It DOES use blades called Martor 199 (search the internet). I found them 10 for $10 plus shipping.

if there was a no-star category, this would be appropriate for this terrible product. It requires a lot of assembly. After this effort, the cuts using 2 and 3 mm wooden strips are diagonal not at 90 degrees. The cutting head has become loose and totally detached from the body of this unit. I have had to reset it multiple times now. I will look for another product. Do not waste your time and money on this thing.

Cool kit and useful tool. I will be using this to cut down wood and styrene strip for model building

This is a nice little kit to make a chopper. It's solid and sturdy when built and has nice mitre cut features. My only issue is the angle degree numbers on the plastic angle pieces are small/faint. Make the numbers bigger and easier to read and this will be an even better tool.

Parts were solid and well cut. Instructions and diagrams are typical Chinese translation--a little hard to follow at times. It cuts thin ship strip wood nicely, and setting the guides allows cutting many identical lengths in a short time. I went to Home Depot to get replacement cutting blades and was shocked to find American utility knife blades don't fit--they don't have the holes for the screws that hold the blades in place. On Amazon I found a limited number of blades that would fit, available at the incredible price of $ 7 for two blades. (DeWalt utility blades are 5 for $3). Who knows how long these Amazon blades will be available? A disincentive to purchasing this tool which I didn't expect. Otherwise it appears quite good.
