Basic Information:Slivervine is a non-toxic plant, mainly found in Japan and China. It triggers a euphoria-like response in cats, like Nepeta Cataria (Catnip). Why doesn't it work on my cat?Do note that results may vary, as cats respond differently. As with catnip, some cats will not respond. Cats that are too young or too old will not respond either. Remember to limit our feline friend access to Silvervine, MAXIMUM 2-3 times a WEEK.

Expensive kindling
My cat loves silver vine powder, loves catnip, couldn't care less about these sticks. My first gripe, is that my cat ignored them completely. My second gripe is that the "sticks" were maybe the thickness of a pencil and I got 5 of them about 4-5 inches long. One of them was ALMOST half an inch thick. I mean, this is an expensive treat... Very very expensive. Much cheaper to get REAL silver vine powder from Japan. So I thought "hey, my cat likes the powder, I'll just sand a stick into powder and then maybe he will like it"... Nope, sanded an entire stick into powder and sprinkled it on his scratch post and he just stared at me like I pooped in his meow mix.Big ole ZERO stars for this bag of overpriced kindling.

Cat says "Yes sir, I like it"
Cat says it's fantastic, best stick he's even seen. As others have said, he reacts like its catnip, starts jumping around wildly, batting the stick about. Seems to stimulate appetite too, he took occasional breaks to go visit the food bowl before getting back to playing with the stick.

Lack of potency, or just a picky kitty?
I'm not sure if it's the potency, or if my cat just doesn't care for silvervine, but my little catnip fiend only gave this a bit of a sniff before walking away. Otherwise, the product comes exactly as described and shown in the picture and had a definite "natural" smell to it. It was worth a try, in my opinion, but I wouldn't buy it again because my cat didn't care for it.

they like the old fashioned catnip instead
I have heard that some cats go crazy over this stuff but personally my cats did not, they like the old fashioned catnip instead. They were slightly interested, as in giving it a sniff here or there, knocking it around on the floor, but it didn't last longer than a minute before they decided it wasn't worth the time.

Not bad.
The kitties really liked these sticks, but once out of the package, they seem to lose their potency quickly. After a day or two, they were no longer interested. The price was good, but I was hoping for something that lasted a little longer. And there were only four, which didn't last long. Overall not bad.

I have 9 cats and they all LOVE silvervine powder
I have 9 cats and they all LOVE silvervine powder. I was very optimistic about these sticks but unfortunately they were duds. Not one of the cats are interested in them at all. They just stare at them and then at me like...what is this? They do not seem to have much of a smell so I am not really surprised. This was a total fail for us. Wonder if I could get a refund?

My cat loves them.
My cat loves these. When they seem to wear off, sanding them lightly seems to bring the smell back.
