Emotional Story
I've read this author before and I have to say she does not disappoint. Her stories are lush and complex. They lead you on a journey, twisting and turning and you're not always sure where you might end up. But then, the trail begins to straighten, you start to see the paths merging and combining into the only possible resolution. Love is the answer, no matter the question. Well done!

Good Book, Interesting charecters
All of my reviews of lesbian romance novels can be found at http://theromanticreaderblog.com/I really enjoy Karis Walsh's work. She writes wonderful novels that have interesting characters who aren't perfect, but they are likable. This book pulls you into the story right from the beginning. The setting is the beautiful Olympic Peninsula and you can't help but want to go there as you read Wingspan. The book follows, Ken, an architect who is wonderfully talented but suppresses all of her uniqueness to fit in and not be noticed. Our other main character is the quirky, wild bird rescuer Bailey. The two mains meet up by chance when Ken rescues an Osprey with a broken wing and takes it to Bailey's center to be fixed. Both women find each other very attractive right from their initial meeting, but both come with a lot of baggage so they deny the attraction. The beginning or the book is very engaging, I was hooked. I adored Bailey, and all of her goofiness. Ken, was not my favorite. It took almost the entire book to find out where her hangups were coming from. The middle of the book got bogged down in my opinion, not enough romance and to many details about buildings and birds. The ending came to fast, and I felt disappointed. I felt like we needed another 1,000 words to really make this a great book.

Rescue for lonely hearts
A great tale of two lonely women who didn't know they were looking for that one to fill their lonely heart. It's a great story of two people that felt different from the others they knew in life. One who settles for a life filled with love for birds (veterinarian )the other an artist (architect) with a heart ache from her past. They have a similar purpose which brings their hearts together to bond over this task. Can they make each other happy. I enjoyed this story and recommend it to lovers of romance. 4 stars, it is a good story, different from most stories and worth your time.

Walsh Delivers Again!!!
Karis Walsh's has beautifully crafted this work. The story takes pace on the Olympic Peninsula. If you have not been to this unusual destination you will want to visit. The characters, the Birds and the struggle for personal freedom are the themes that kept me reading. As I read, I was back in this beautiful place.I look for Karis Walsh's books because they take me on a journey with characters I would like to continue to know.

Great.
I really enjoyed Wingspan. It’s a great romance story. But you’ll also learn about rehabbing wild birds. It adds to the romance and the drama.

Wingspan
A beautiful, but at the same time a bit too stalling a story. The protagonists are clearly drawn to one another but teenage and childhood traumas almost prevent anything from happening.

bored reader
I would not recommend this book, it is overly long with every detail dragged out seemingly for no purpose. The story is boring and could have been written in a couple of chapters. The author would have been better concentrating on writing a book about birds and giving up trying to add in a lesbian romance, it didn't work on any level. I ended up flicking through it trying to find the 'interesting bits' and they were few and far between, don't waste your money.
