For the money, great
First off, I intend to add some pictures to this review, if I haven't yet feel free to comment and ask about them.Secondly, I paid $15 for this umbrella. If I paid $20 or $25, review would be 3 starsNow onto the review. If youre considering this umbrella I know youre looking for a little more than just somethings to shield you from the rain, so I'll knock out the other part real quicm. As far as rain goes, this umbrella will do fine. I havent had a chance to try it in heavy winds but in medium winds it bows some. Its big enough to cover 2 people. As far as the other features go, the main one is the handle. My handle arrived damaged, which is my main complaint with the umbrella. I dont think it's actually wood, it feels too light and soft, maybe cork. It appears to be wood by just looking at it though. The damage made small crush points here and there as well as a few scratches. The damage isnt too noticeable from afar but they are up close. It looks worn already, and it shouldnt. The handle is very.. Well, handy. It's comfortable to hold, and its a breeze to carry if your hands are full. You can just hook it over one of your arms. Since this only cost 15 dollars, Im giving it a passing review, but its not exceptional. The only other thing I guess I could mention are the little pieces at the end of each rib holding everything together. Theyre made out of wood, stained to match the handle. They look different, perhaps interesting, I dont think they take away from quality or appearance but I would have preferred darkened metal instead, maybe the same metal used on the base of the top pokey bit (Im not too knowledgeable on umbrella terms). So, overall, a passing umbrella. If the umbrella had not arrived damaged (which wasnt shipping's fault, the box was completely fine) I would have given 5 stars. If the seller cares to replace or swap me with an undamaged model, Id happily up to 5, both because of the umbrella and the implied customer service. We'll see. You seem to get screwed by sellers on amazon who think selling damaged products is a good practice.

It also was great for shielding me from the sun
I bought this as an accessory for a costume, for which it worked well! It also was great for shielding me from the sun. However I recently took it out in a rainstorm and was surprised to look up and see...rain...coming through the fabric of the umbrella. An umbrella that lets in rain just can't be called a five star umbrella. I do love how large it is...just wish it could keep me dry.

Mary Poppins prop that brought smiles
This is used for a display for weekly challenge winners---the team's Supervisor with the most time spent in exercise (Step in Time) gets to keep the umbrella at the end of July. Keeps them active to win the trophy and the supervisor wins this great looking, durable umbrella in bragging rights.

HUGE!
This umbrella is fantastic and is soo big. I can easily walk my dog and keep both of us fairly dry and she is not a small pup.The only problem I had was that the wooden handle was really scuffed up.

Great price for a pretty nice umbrella
This was bigger than I expected and is pretty sturdy. I looked at a lot and I took a chance on this one because it was a lower price, and I was surprised at how nice it is when it arrived.

Well made, sturdy!
Excellent quality, sturdy, and large enough to very comfortably fit two people.

Didn’t hold up
After three uses, the umbrella looks like it weathered a tornado. We live in high desert country so it rains infrequently and I wanted to be prepared for when it did. Unfortunately, the rains didn’t come before the return window expired. It was a beautiful umbrella sitting in the umbrella holder and worked marvelously on its maiden voyage in the rain.

I would hate to see the end result if they were exposed ...
Ordered three. One broke the first day, one broke on the second use. We are using these as props in a dance - they have never been outside in the weather. They are simply opened, twirled, and closed. I would hate to see the end result if they were exposed to wind. I'm going to have to order new ones before our recital, and it won't be these.
