This painted scallop shell has a unique faux marble finish, and is laquered. It can be used to hold jewelry, keys, or just about anything! I keep one on my hair station so my clients have a safe place to keep their earrings while I do their hair. Yes, this is a real scallop shell, approx. 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". Small sea glass-like beads keep it stable. Please remember that since this a natural seashell, there may be slight imperfections, and they are normal.
