works great, well made
This is a very nice timer that can have ten different times set which makes it very versatile for many different situations. It looks nice and is well made. The display is large and easy to read. It came very well packaged and includes an instruction pamphlet. The set up is fairly straightforward and intuitive. When I am away from home, this will allow me to make it look like my lamp is turning on and off at random times to keep people guessing.

Logical & Easy to Program - STOPPED WORKING WITHIN ONE MONTH
Well, see below ... I DID like it a lot. Now I don't like it at all. It stopped working within one month. I was using it to manage a backup harddrive and now I discover that I haven't had any backups in a while. The clock still shows. The ON AUTO OFF still rotates ... BUT - NO POWER under any condition, even after a full reset. ... Now we'll see how well they do on their 1 year warranty. Annoying! I like it a lot. I especially like the logic behind moving from ON > AUTO with it staying on, and OFF > AUTO with it staying off. The screen is easy to read and it programs very easily.

Works well after you get the hang of it, but not for long
Update- Nov 2017. This worked fine for 2 months then just died. Ukoke credited me for the purchase price. I can't change the star rating.. Original Review, Sept 2017 I purchased this timer because my new humidifier stays ON once the set humidity is reached. With this timer I save energy by running it mostly at night and then on and off periodically throughout the day. It is somewhat difficult and counter intuitive to program but once that is done it works fine. The On/Off feature is nice, but when switching it to "auto mode", you need to first set the device to start as ON or OFF. Some of the negative reviews refer to the timer being ON when it should be OFF, etc. I thought that until I got the programing down and understood that it works on events, and thus different from a mechanical timer.

Awesome product!
1. I have been testing this device for a week, and I would like to share my own experience. I would like to tell you that it is an Awesome timer and easy to set up with a unique RANDOM function. I give this item for 5-stars, undoubtedly. PROs: 1. The device with a large screen with excellent contrast , and all the categories and numbers show really clear and can easily read it once I was programming the device. 2. Eight buttons are large, which makes to easy click with the really positive hand feels once you press it, also the clear text hints are shown above all the buttons to help me to setting for all features. 3.Cause it has an internal battery, for initial setting, it is not necessary to plug-in to an outlet, so it is relatively convenient for programing. Base of instructions, it mentions that the internal battery can keep timer running for a two months to save your original sets. 4. With the multiply and flexibility of the program, the device can operate up to 10 flexible scheduling relate to my demanding up to 7 days, which means I can set a single on/off for a day or for multiple days. 6. I believe the safe is important for the new device you are trying to apply, but for the UKOKE cares about the safety, the timer has been certificated by the CE. Based on the definition of CE, from Google, is a legislation of health, safely, and environment protection requirements. 5. For the exclusive features of the device is called a Random button, the function of Random is to make your appliances/devices power on within a specific time-range randomly based on what I set. I have been testing that as I set 10 am-11am for three days on Monday to Wednesday for the random feature on, and my appliance turned on different times, basic on my record, it ups 10:33am on Monday, 10:26 am on Tuesday, and on Wednesday was 10:51 am. Just learning from the ads, the main function of random manner is for the security purpose, mostly, you can use it at mid-night to seem like someone still active in your living room. CONs: 1. The small blue LED will light up once the timer operates. I used one of my ordered in my bedroom, and it obviously too bright to me. It works for after I put a black stick to cover it. So, I suggest that to use less bright LED to instead of this one and I will definitely to have a one. With this awesome shopping experience with UKOKE, it is completely over my expectation with quality and appearance, also the features of timer have surprised on me as well. So, definitely, I recommend to take this one.

Great timer with easy to read screen
Overall I love this timer. It works very reliably and well. Pros: Easy to read screen Can remember more programs than most people will need Looks nice Blue light tells you its running (light is very bright though and can be disruptive) Cons: The timer is thick and therefore you will need to factor that in when installing in tight spaces. The instructions could be more detailed to prevent confusion.

Update: Compared to two other timers
***UPDATE on Ukoke Timer: After 4-years, rechargeable NiMH battery would no longer hold a charge. Replacing battery is not practical for two reasons: 1. Tamper resistant screws require triangle head bits (bit set available on Amazon) 2. Battery is a small "button" cell with tabs soldered into circuit board. Conclusion: Sadly, the Ukoke timer is a "through away" item. This was my favorite timer and it would have been nice to be able to replace a worn out battery. ***UPDATE: After 14-months, (2-month out of warranty) timer failed. I reset it, but it would not switch power on either by newly programmed timer settings after reset, or by manually pressing the ON/AUTO/OFF button. It is used only 3-months a year (6-months total use) to simultaneously switch three grow light fixtures (48-in 2-bulb florescent lighting) on & off. The failure did occur during a storm where our lights flickered on & off a number of times. The failure was most likely induced by either: 1) the rapid switching of the inductive load (three florescent lamps with ballasts), or 2) possibly a transient AC voltage swings during momentary power outages. Because the timer is still programmable, this suggests that the failure was not at the power inlet where all operation would fail--rather, only the outlet failed due to switching inductive loads. Either way, the circuit protection at the inlet (wall plug connection) and/or the protection at the outlet (relay/SCR switch) leading to the connected lamps failed. Note: no other timers or devices at have ever failed during a storm in the 11-years I've lived at this location. Conclusion: For all timers, it may be a good idea to plug them into a surge protected outlet, and limit the use to switching resistive loads (i.e. tungsten or LED bulbs) rather than inductive loads (i.e. florescent lamps and motors). *** Purchased TopgGreener TGT02-w, FosPower FOSCHR-2383US, & Ukoke UTM01WFBA programmable timers. Each has some strengths and weaknesses. TopGreener: Single receptacle on side ***Cannot insert 2-conductor lamp-plug fully--3/16-in gap exposing AC male terminals. FosPower: Dual receptacles, one on each side Ukoke: Single receptacle facing outward TopGreener & Ukoke: When plugged into standard 2-socket wall outlet, blocks use of second outlet FosPower: When plugged into bottom socket of standard 2-socket wall outlet, top outlet is not blocked TopGreener: Display harder to read than FosPower & Ukoke, DST & RND indicators to include markings on case impossible to read without magnifying glass Ukoke: Display most readable of the three timers TopGreener, FosPower, & Ukoke: None have backlit displays making reading of programs & modes hard to read in low light conditions. TopGreener: Useful Random mode randomly varies program ON and OFF times by +/-30-mins FosPower & Ukoke: Useless Random mode--randomly turns lights ON/OFF for 10-30-min over 12-hr period between 6 pm and 6 am TopGreener: Buttons and their intended operation reasonably intuitive after first use--little need for manual. FosPower: Button labels need to be improved, you'll need manual to figure out how to set DST and 12/24 hour mode. Adding markings on case to better ID buttons with multiple functions, and when two buttons need to be pressed simultaneously would be very helpful Ukoke: Button keypad has nice crisp feel. Button labels need to be improved like mentioned for FosPower--manual needed. TopGreener, FosPower, & Ukoke: After setting Day(s) ON (i.e. MO/TU...) for any given program, it's easy to overlook setting Days(s) OFF properly. For example, if a lamp is to turn ON at 10 pm on MO and stay on until 1-hr after midnight, be sure to set Day OFF to TU. If Day Off is set to MO (same as Day On), the lamp will not turn off until the next MO 7-days later.

It worked for a few years, then the display periodically froze
The timer is nice in that you can set up multiple points to turn on and off power throughout a weeks time. However, this timer did only work for around 4 years to control grow lights for my veggie garden. When I set it up this year, the display was frozen. I used a pin to push the button to reset the unit. The unit began functioning correctly again, but only for a couple of weeks. I had bought a non-led, more mechanical type of 24 hour timer at the same time as this one, which is still working. So, if a simple on-off 24 hour timer would work for you, I'd recommend a more simple, mechanical timer.

Great little timer with 10 on-off settings
Love that i can set 10 short on-off periods for brief warm ups with area heaters. Can't trust the temp sensitivities of the heaters, so i set them to medium heat and "pulse them" with this timer. Now have 3 of these and all working effectively with room heaters and easy to change settings. Great display with large numbers and good buttons.

Save Power!
I use these timers in my bedroom to shut off my tv and lights. I like to read and or watch tv in bed. Before I purchased the timers I was awakened around 2 am with the tv blaring and my lights on. My husband who recently died would turn the tv and lights off. So I found this solution great and I get a good nights sleep. Not hard to set the timers if you read the instructions carefully,

Worked fine ==until it went crazy
35 years in electronics so I never had any problem setting digital timers clocks etc. But came home from Christmas travel wonder why one of my light was not on. Did some experimenting and for some bizarre reason certain times would would not turn on . I had set it for 1802 (2 to was just random button push) had it set for AUTO _RANDOM but would not come on . Did a few experiments 0600 worked fine as did 0300 . Anything in 1500 1600 okay but not anything in 1800. It is not a repairable device as microController is just a blob of plastic. Strange fault. Bought it in 2018 but until 2022 was happy . Just made it out of the warranty

Only Great for 5 yrs. Due NIMH 1.2V Non Replaceable
This is an exceptional 7day timer. The most advanced. I love it because no moving parts, like other ones you can gear the gears going. I started off with those. When they failed ai found these. With no to very little instructions the hardest one to find were how to change the default setting from 24hrs to 12 hrs for those who like it simple. And the Day Light Savings Time setting. I wrote them down on the back of each of my timers since I bought a double pack. This is my second timer of this type. They seem to last only 5 yrs. Bought my first one according amazon 2020. Its now 2025 and when it came to day light savings Time I removed the timer from the back of my dresser drawer and that's when it went bonkers and went blank on me. I tried setting the timer again and it died again. If I kept it in the outlet it would be fine but the backup battery would be useless cause it no longer holds a charge. I opened it up to see if it uses a replaceable NIMH battery. But as you can see it doesn't so to the landfill it goes. With so much room inside I don't know why they won't allow a replaceable NIMH battery just like the wireless phones we have now days. It would save it from going to land fill. But I guesd like everything else quality isn't the issue its income. Making people buy it after the battery dies ever 5yrs. So this is my review on this item.

Smart
this is a great smart outlet Programming this is fairly simple although it may take some time getting used to. It has many variations so that your needs can be suited. I currently have this for my rooms lamp to turn on and off in the morning to wake me up. Others have mentioned using it for an aquarium which would most likely beneficial too. In the summer I may use it for a fan as I donโt like leaving it running all night. Overall, itโs a niche product but it does what itโs required. For those who work long hours and want the illusion of people at home, this would be great as you can program it to turn lights on at certain times.
