Great product, great service, great price!
This is a great product supported by outstanding service! When I was assembling the jointer (easy - took 15 minutes), I noticed that the blade guide was bent and wouldn’t work exactly as intended. I sent an email to Cutech’s technical support (with a picture of the part), and received a response in less than 10 minutes. It said “we’ll send you a replacement part today”. 15 minutes later they sent me the tracking number for the shipment, and it arrived the next afternoon! Less than 24 hours after my initial email to them I had the replacement part installed on the jointer. Now THAT’S great customer service! I then put the jointer to the test and it performed flawlessly. Great product, great service, great price!

Works great
The product was as described and arrived on time. A corner of the dust chute was broken so I contacted the company and included a picture and they sent a replacement immediately. I've only made a few test cuts with it so far but, the ones I made came out great. I had some 120 year old lumber from a home renovation we had done my wife wanted to keep. these were rough cut true 2x4's . I ran a piece through the jointer and they came out great, smooth with no snipe, gouging, or tearout. If I hadn't already purchased a DeWalt planner I would have bought the one they have for sale. I'm not sure if it is the seller or Amazon but, It is $50.00 if you buy directly from the seller cutechtool.com. I purchased from Amazon because I was using gift cards. Either way I would definetely recommend this machine.

Nice clean and wide cutting surface. Requires attention to tuning
Solid, wide table top joiners. Nice uniform cut with a reasonable depth of cut. Lighter cuts are needed for wide surfacing but for the hobbyist this is a plus in reminding one to save lumber and not get in a hurry. Joints up to 5' boards with a careful hand. Anymore than that and it will need custom indeed/outfeed. The fence is a little finicky, make sure to tune it to the appropriate degree before each use/check periodically. Used the fence adjustment with a digital angle finder to make a hexagonal post so it is definitely versatile.

A disapointment
Not very happy with what I thought would be a better machine for the price!

Absolutely impossible to make co-planar....
I initially was very happy with this jointer. It cuts very smoothly, with very little tear out or snipe. My first couple of projects used fairly short stock, and things went pretty smoothly. That changed when I started on a project that required longer boards (a dining room table.) I always joint the face of a board first, which is why I wanted the 8 inch jointer. After completing the first couple of boards, I realized that a couple of things were happening. First, I was getting a convex face, something I had not noticed on shorter boards, but that was pretty obvious on longer ones. Since this is a table top that will be glued up as a panel, I need perfectly flat edges. I am a pretty experienced woodworker, so I didn’t think it was due to my technique, but I checked that on some scrap boards. Next I decided to check to ensure the table were co-planar. They were not even close. After spending about 10 hours trying to adjust them (with four leveling screws that are fussy and difficult to access) I found that was impossible to get the tables set properly. In fact the tables themselves are not flat. I put a straightedge on one table at a time, and found significant deviations in the bed itself. The problem is compounded by the extension arms which are a full 1/8” lower than the tables. There is not way to adjust them either. The second problem was a taper being cut in the boards. When laying an engineer’s square across the knives, I realized the the cutterhead itself was slightly out of square. No way to adjust this either. In the end I believe I made a 400 dollar mistake with this purchase. I am going to contact the company and see if anything can be done, and I will update this review accordingly.

I was surprised that the blade chipped so easily on a soft wood
I bought this jointer recently from Cutech directly. The main reason I bought it is because of the extension arm so I could run some longer boards through. Here is my feedback:1. I was running through some 2x4 redwood through, one of the small cutting blade is chipped after less than 20 boards. This leaves a mark along the board. I had to rotate that blade. I was surprised that the blade chipped so easily on a soft wood.2. The in feeding table is not exactly flat resulting the edges not being 100% flat. I measured this with a straight line. It's not exactly co-planer to the out feed table. I do not know how to adjust this properly. it's very difficult. Without having the co-planarity, the planer can't produce good result. When i tried to glue multiple boards together, it's never 100% seamless.3. The extension arm is also not exactly co-plane with either the infeed and outfeed table. Again without co-planarity, the jointer loses its usefulness. I ended up buying some roller stand and not using the extension arm.I am not exactly an expert in using a jointer. This is my first jointer I ever used, so there could be user error. Overall, for the price paid, I am not sure it's a good value. I should have bought the 6in one without the extension arm since it's much cheaper.I would not recommend this one.

Wow
I was a little concerned that this might be junk, what a pleasant surprise to find it works very well. Was looking at a Grizzly 8" jointer, but it was always on back order. So I thought why not try this at a quarter of the price! I am a home gamer hobby woodworker, and I needed to joint up some cherry. The cutter head produces a clean cut, and it was very close to ready to use out of the box. Just a little tweaking to get things squared up. The only complaint? it could be beefier on the out feed rods, but it is still a good jointer for the price!
