"Celtic Tree of Life" Silver Tone Round Pocket Ashtray

Of all the round, flip open, spring-loaded cig rest pocket ashtrays listed on Amazon.com as of May/June 2014, this one looked to be the best of the bunch for the price. Now that I've received it, I can comment specifically (and these comments are not just for customers, but for manufacturers whom apparently need some guidance in making these things appealing and very functional):The Pros: stainless steel, does NOT have a picture of pot leaves or some other corny/gauche picture(s) on it, will probably work fine (time will tell)The Cons: Lid hinge appears somewhat un-durable and is not tight to the unit - there are small open gaps where the hinge connects to the body that might spill some ashes into your pocket. The lid itself does not appear to shut tight - time will tell if it is tight enough or spills ashes into one's pocket. The "tree of life" decoration is glued on and is not exactly centered. But my biggest beef so far - and is probably true of all of these is the center of mass. If you place the unit on a flat surface open, it tips toward the lid and does not sit flat. I'll probably have to glue a half dollar or old full dollar sized disc of metal to the bottom to rectify that. It's probably because of the heavy "tree of life" adornment. And, finally, a non-skid bottom would be desirable, not just so that it will not slide on a table easily, but also so that it will not slip out of one's pocket and get lost. This is how I lost my last one that I bought circa 1999 from a goth shop in Tampa - I loved that one and it only suffered the center of mass issue and the non-skid issue.Can someone please sell a unit of this functionality with much better design and no pictures or logos - especially not pot pictures?

I could wish that it were a little bigger, but it looks nice and does the job.

This was a gift for a friend and they loved it. The ashtray is beautiful and perfect if you need small and discreet.

Obviously made by someone who doesn't smoke. It's too lightweight to sit on a flat surface when open, thus making the flip-out holder useless. Also, it doesn't always stay closed.
