I love my Hibermate
As a light sleeper, the Hibermate is indispensable to me. Ideal for sleeping in dorm rooms, planes, or anywhere that isn't a perfectly dark and silent sanctuary. After a bit of adjusting and experimenting, the Hibermate helped me get better sleep.Pros:- Great for travel (includes a little carrying bag)- Blocks virtually all light- Dampens sound satisfactorily- Very comfortable for back-sleeping (I like taking naps with the lights on)Cons:- Initially uncomfortable for slide-sleeping (but this can be solved using the alternate earmuffs and proper pillows)- Sometimes comes off during the night (after it's already put me to sleep!)- Does not block *all* sound (although it's nice being able to hear the alarm clock)Over the years I've purchased a Gen 3 and a Gen 4 for myself, and a Gen 5 for a loved one who also has trouble sleeping due to loud roommates and a bright bedroom. The creators are awesome, and are constantly iterating and improving their product. (Chris, if you're reading this, I personally prefer the single-strap design of the Gen 4 because it seems less likely to tangle, although the double-straps are definitely better on the Gen 5 than the 3.)

The mask was nice. The ear muffs were soft and fairly comfy
So I am giving this product a one because it didn't do what I wanted. I wanted these because my husband snores. The only sound it drowned out were the voices in my head. The mask was nice. The ear muffs were soft and fairly comfy. But, if you trying to drown out the sound of your snoring husband.... they are useless. Now, it is not a "cheap" product. It just didn't meet my expectations.

May work for some, but not very comfortable for sleeping
This does block out a lot of sound, and semi comfortable, but to sleep in it wasn’t as comfortable as I hoped. I ended up returning, and they were very accommodating.

It's like a symphony of pigs at night going off next ...
I bought this because my spouse suffer from a clog nose and snores incredible load. It's like a symphony of pigs at night going off next to my poor little ears.Pros:Will reduce noise by a considerable amountLooks appealingThe color black really is black. Nothing worse then ordering a black and getting a crappy faded dark gray colour instead.Comfortable head elastic thin strapsRecommended for people that constantly travel by air plane but not for in bed use.Great for men and women with small ears and small heads / faces.Extra light flap. Not seen in other sleeping masks before. Sure some could have an inner flap but nothing like this one. It's a million times better. But it's a bit flawed. I adore the light flap its just so thick and comfy but, it will require sewing or snapping it up or it can push a nostril down a bit. Make sure to tuck in the inner flap well.Great traveling case! Not cheaply coloured. Will not stain fresh bright white linen.Cons:The flap by the nose to help cover the light even more is fantastic however, it needed to be STITCHED UP! Wtf? The inner flap can come out of place when you sleep and feels heavy over the nose making it hard to breathe. So easy fix, grab needle and a thread make one stitch on each side and voila! More & more millennials aren't trained in sewing by their parents and old fashioned techniques of older times. If you pay that much for it, you shouldn't have to fix the mask yourself. No more annoying flap riding down and clogging your air ways. If you have a tiny nose like mine, you will need to sew it a bit or sew a snap on to it that you can use to snap up or down. The ear cup area just stuck on my pillow while I turn my head and it will twist the straps and wake me up. They need to make a SILKY material for the outer part so it glides on the pillow rather than snagging it and getting stuck there which can wake up the consumer. The idea of to improve sleep not ruin it.Great for men and women who don't have E.T. sized heads. If you suffer from a potato head, you will need to skip on these as it may not fit you properly. It's like it was made for tiny people only. Let's hope they can manage adjustable strap for people with larger heads. I was fine with it as I do not have a huge head but come on, add adjustable straps there so every one can enjoy it. Also think of people with over sized ears and make that inner ear cup slightly larger. Conclusion:Being brutally honest here. Great idea but sadly just needs a ton of more work. Looking forward to a better model of this product. I simply love the idea of drowning out a loved ones harmonious snoring without the use of ear plugs. I have to say my sleep quality has improved but due to the pillow snagging, I do wake from it at least 2 to 3 times a night. The material of the outside being rubber is just a poor idea flawed by natural design. If they could manage to fix a few things with it, I would gladly give it a 5 star rating. Great for people like my spouse who live and die on airplanes traveling for work. For sleeping, not so much. It's pretty much a sleeping headset. I wish these people would just order a ton of high end gaming headsets to make a prototype that can dampen noise out even more. The super annoying part is how on earth to make this head set super comfy. Once they nail sound reduction properly, they then will need to master the comfort level of ear piece its self while keeping it as thin as possible and putting a cover on the outside that will allow it to glide on a pillow. It has helped me a bit but I feel it can be a much better product than what it is and has potential.

Does not block out sounds/noise effectively
Tried contacting seller because they asked buyers to contact them first before leaving negative feedback in order to resolve issues. The email got bounced back and had no response since. The ear muffs don't block out much sound at all. I am a light sleeper and purchased the Hibernate because I cant use ear plugs effectively. The Hibernate barely blocks out any sound. I tried many attempts at making it tighter/looser/etc and the sound blocking never got better. The eye mask was not comfortable on my face, wish it could be disconnected. On the plus side, the ear muffs are comfortable to wear while sleeping. Too bad they were not effective at block out noise

Helps me tune out
It may take some getting used to, but I have been very happy with this purchase. My husband's cpap machine makes sounds that my ears just can't stand. It is if my mind just hones in and focuses on it when trying to fall asleep. While the ear muffs do not decrease sound significantly, it is just enough to let me tune out ambient noises like his cpap machine. This also are invaluable to me when traveling on an airplane. I have very sensitive hearing and this is such a great product. I do wish the ear muffs could block out even more sound. That would be my only complaint.

Too tight—non-returnable
Too tight—puts high pressure on the eyes, and the mask crunches up over the eyes—doesn't lay flat.I am a female with a small head, so I'm not sure who this would fit correctly, except perhaps a teen or child.Muffles sound a bit, but must also use ear plugs with it. Unfortunately, I can't lay down with it for more than 10 minutes before it starts to get too tight and uncomfortable. Very disappointed this can't be returned! Don't recommend.

To wide, ear muffs dont cover ears properly
Mask was too large for my face so the ear muffs don't quite fit. Also I thought the noise cancellation would be better but it's not as good as ear plugs.
