Homesteader Hobbies Wall O Water Plant Protectors

This is a thinner plastic than the previous wall o waters I bought in the past. Used them this year. They held up and looks good to use next year. Not sure if they will last for multiple years like my others but time will tell.

These did keep my plants from freezing but I won't be buying these again. I will spend the extra money on Gardeneer season starters. They are at least 3 times as thick as these cheaper ones. also 1 of the cells leaked day 1.

Water teepes are essential to my tomato crop -- they let me put in plants weeks ahead of the "safe zone", and they protect plants from wind as well as cold. The plants in these teepes grow much faster and will usually have small fruit by the end of May. I wouldn't garden without them. I should note that the teepes I bought this year are the red ones, not clear, but that I have used the clear ones for years. They last quite a long tim.

These plant protectors work well. They allow for earlier planting of tomatoes. This is very important because of the short growing season where I live. The only thing I’d wish is that the diameter would be larger.

I have used Wall O' Waters for years and have been immensley pleased. However, the red ones I bought most recently are much poorer quality. The first one out of the box leaked upon trying to fill. Two others were inadvertently punctured the first day. Clearly a thinner material is being used. Also, presumably in the interest of cutting costs to increase profit, the two tubes on each side of the seam have been narrowed. Not only is the material thinner, but it seems to be more brittle. And to boot, no repair kits are available as they once were.

I had tomatoes about a month earlier than otherwise would have. Saving the teepees for next year. They were well constructed and held up to the weather.

I have some walls o water I bought over ten years ago. Needed a few more this year and this was the best deal I could find. They were needed badly since we had a 3 consecutive night late freeze. I am convinced they the only reason anything survived

Three of the 12 just collapsed when you put water in the rest of them work fine tomatoes are 4 foot tall now I found out you must put them up on level ground once you get a wrinkle in them they fall over buy another box next year maybe it was just a bad match
