Nice book to add to my library. The illustrations we're very good. So of the written description were not as helpful.

Barrington Barber skillfully presents the fundamentals to drawing portraits.I found his book resourceful in guiding the reader on the techniques applicable to successful portrait drawing.The book's illustrations are wonderful.Barber covers all aspects of portrait drawing from a variety of perspectives.

I actually didn't buy this book but I got it from my brother who is a talented artist. Now the reason I got the book was to brush up on some of my drawing skills like the old saying goes "you lose it, if you don't use it" so once I opened the book and began brushing up. I notice a trend that expect for the "Cuban boy" that every picture or figure was of only caucasian individuals. In my personal opinion the book isnt for me because art is too diverse for me to be only drawing the same images over and over again. If I plan on drawing the world I need to learn from someone who truly knows that art is too universal to just be black/white or in this case just white ...I have a free copy for anyone that actually takes the time to read..lol...seriously..

Got this for my kindle and surprisingly easy to follow. This guy is the master when it comes to drawing!

Does not cover in any great depth. Reasonable for a beginner.
