Review: Works well in water fountain - How about three of these and I use them outside in my little Water gardens and they were great however they do not hold a charge and if the sun is not shining or a shade passes over they stopped working but as long as the sun is shining on it. It works beautifully.
Review: Little Powerhouse - I just installed this in my birdbath, and the solar panel was working even in light shade. It's working very well. I did not use any of the attachments because they shoot water beyond the edges of my small birdbath, and i wanted a bubbler effect to keep the water moving. Love this. I hope it holds up well. Update, it's a overcast day, and it it just kind of periodically pumping out water, but it's still moving water.

Solar panels are weak, not enough energy produced on cloudy days so if you're hoping to keep this in the bird bath or shallow pond for the winter and you live in the PNW it's too cloudy to use year round. Save money, buy a better solar powered bird bath pump. NOTE. Pump works ok, solar panel are older variety and not useful on cloudy days. I have 2 other solar powered bird bath fountain pumps that work year round even on very cloudy days, that I have been comparing this solar system against.
