AMACO Wireform Aluminum Contour Expandable Metal Mesh, 1/16 in Dia X 10 ft L Roll, Silver (407826)

Ordered this product to use as the skeleton for medium sized flowers. It worked great and there was almost no learning curve. I was able to cut it easily with a rotary cutter. I didn't want to use gloves when handling it and found that with carefulness I didn't need them. I would suggest no long sleeves or baggy tops as the wire will 'catch' on fabric.

I recently broke an unusually shaped chandelier globe and didn't want to replace the entire fixture. I found this great aluminum wireform mesh. The service was perfect and very fast, and the shades I made look better than the originals. I recommend wearing gloves if you cut this material due to the sharp edges, but it was fun and easy to work with. Great product and great service.

I absolutely love Amaco WireForm Metal Mesh. I'm building a paper mache dragon amonst other things, what was left over scraps from cutting the mesh got used. The moldability is fantastic, very little goes to waste.The small scrap pieces were rolled up to make teeth.The flexability=10 out of 10Cutting = 10 out of 10Moldability =10 out of 10

I make fruit pockets with this. Since I have rats problem in the backyard, and they seem to get to ripening fruits before I do, I started to make protection pouch with this material. The fruits would still get sun that they need, but the rodents can't get through.The mesh is very easy to handle, and not hard to cut at all. I just use regular scissors to cut. I imagine it's a very good material for art projects, too.

I purchased this product to use for Electromagnetic shielding. I am pleased to report it works extremely well.One word of caution however: they are not kidding when the instructions say to wear gloves.This material cuts with a pair of kitchen shears, but you will get lots and lots of microscopic size aluminum splinters in your hands if you don't wear gloves, so beware!

Easy to cut and form as armature for polymer clay sculptures. Very sharp points, so be careful handling.

Working with a 9 yr. old was my first mistake. Using the wire without gloves was my second mistake. However, the product works just fine when used by an adult.

I bought this hoping to use it with my 4th grade students. When I cut it, it became a series of razor sharp edges. Bummer. So I gave it to the Art teacher, and she loves it, and used it with the older kids to make the base for papier mache project.
