Fruit Infusion Pitcher - Shatter Proof Acrylic - Large Size - For Healthy Water Infusions

This is a great pitcher! I am loving my fruit infused water. The pitcher is excellent quality and just the right size. I was worried it would be way too big for the top shelf in my standard, non-fancy refrigerator -but it was fine. I've dropped it once and it didn't break/crack in anyway. It also has a very sleek looking design and shape. Its also very easy to clean. I do handle the infuser rod and top piece with care when changing the fruit. It does seem like it could break if you were too rough with it. Common sense should tell you when you've twisted the infuser rod just enough to lock into place on the top cap. I'm happy I paid the few extra bucks for a nice quality pitcher.

My wife and daughter wanted this pitcher. I suggested they use the sun tea jar we already have. But they just had to have it so I got it for them.It's food grade plastic which means it requires special care. There are a number of usage "don'ts" and maintenance necessities that to me are not worth the effort required to use the infusion pitcher. You can also drop fruit and citrus chunks into a big glass jar with the same result and it's much easier to clean. But...The infusion pitcher is a nice looking and functional no doubt, especially when there is fruit or citrus in the core. But for me it's more of a visual aesthetic and serving function and in that regard it is very nice. It does work and it really looks great on the table. And it makes the women in my life happy. So for that reason it's worth every penny and every effort to use it.

I was sceptical on this not being glass but it is well made and lighter weight. We ar ereally enjoying it. Great purchase.Update: I gave this a 5 originally with the above comments. But after about the 5th use I am changing to a 1 and am returning. We washed by hand every time. So I washed it and refilled with new fruit, put in the fridge, my husband and I had a glass about 2 hours later. Everythign fine. Another hour later and I came back to pour another glass and it just dumped everywhere. Turns out the whole thing split apart while in the fridge. There are numerous splits down the length and the top just breaks off in pieces. I will add a photo if I can remember. I went in to request a refund and they want it returned. LOL. okay-sure. Really sad because I really liked this.It's been really hot here lately. So I am thinking the expansion and contraction from in the fridge to luke warm water in the hot air to coldish water to the refridgerator is what did it.

It works for infusing well and is attractive, but the top comes off when pouring nearly all of the time.

The lid is flimsy, with a snap-on design, rather than twist-on. For hard plastic that can chip, snap on is a bad idea, especially when it doesn't really snap as well as the average food container.The jump down to two stars is from the phony safety warning postcards included in the box, printed in large, red & black block lettering: "WARNING...Things You Should NEVER Do With Your Infusion Pitcher...Do NOT start using...get that report...before it's too late."They provide a link to get the supposedly-important report, but it only takes you through sales pitches for accessories and other products before giving you a PDF report with a few common sense tips about leaving fruit out too long...something they could have simply included in the box.This kind of dishonest baiting is as deceptive and time-wasteful as telemerketing, junk mail, spam and TV lawyer ads, not what I expect while shopping on Amazon. Any genuine safety warning should be displayed in the Amazon sales page or in a user guide.

Sturdy pitcher, and I am enjoying trying various fruit infusions. A favorite is strawberries and mint! I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 because the box included only the pitcher and did not have any recipe book with it. This was no big deal, as there are plenty of fruit infusion "recipes" on line, but I would have preferred a little booklet with some ideas to get me started.

At first I thought it was a great product. Easy to use and easy to clean. But now, after just a few months the handle just broke from the pitcher when I washed it (with hands!) It seems, that it was just fixed with some glue...
