Questions Answered.
Very good explanation of the individual commands DOS of Microsoft. Norton wrote a book similar to this sometime in the 1980s which I literally wore out the pages; I'm glad that someone has picked up the torch to throw light onto programmers (and just users) path.

Useful reference.
This is a list of CMD commands, with mostly short annotations. It is not a "how to", but is a useful reference. The system help files from CMD are reproduced on the page. There is a short section on DOS commands, with most of the book covering Windows CMD. The basic commands which come up on the C:/windows/system32> help seem to get the most annotations. Some useful real examples of commands are included. The help files reproduced, which list all the parameters (command options), unfortunately have their text wrap set for a wider window, so the formatting is difficult to read. The formatting of the annotations could be better, and the pages need the chapter/command listed at the top of each page. It's not a disaster, just hard to find stuff. It seems to be fairly extensive, but today I noticed that "Telnet" is missing, so it is not completely exhaustive. There are short appendices at the back including: a list of commands and what they do, Windows key shortcuts, RUN commands, and Powershell Quick Commands. The pages, cover, and binding are nice and easy to flip through. There is no index, but the table of contents at the front serves just as well. 478 pages. With some work on formatting, and a little more annotation, it could be much better. It is a post DOS, non-Powershell printed reference, I hope they improve it.

For real, $46 for this book?!
Let break it down honestly for everyone. If you don't have Kindle Unlimited, this book is definitely not worth the money. If you do, however, it's worth downloading and giving it a quick browse. By no means will this book be your go-to reference, but it is another resource. Horribly formatted, lack of concise explanation, doesn't actually teach you anything applicable.
