Great - but Frustrating - Product
Wow - okay, so I came out to buy these for a friend that is going through the usual frustration of his duvet slipping down in the cover. He tried the ties, but somehow they would get untied or the threads would break or magical elves kept snipping them... anyway, he just couldn't keep the duvet straight in the cover.I have used these pins for about 2 1/2 years now and absolutely love them. I have never had an issue with them tearing, scratching, or any other sort of problem since I used them the first time. I have read through some of the reviews and think that most issues described are because of user error, and not problems with the pins.First off, installation - turn the duvet cover inside out and lay on the bed with the top-side down so it is facing the mattress. Reaching up into the pocket of the cover, position and stick the pins *UP* through the backside so the small clear plastic "pad" is inside the pocket. When positioned and the pins are all sticking up through the duvet cover, *gently* lay the duvet on the cover and straighten it so that it is correctly positioned. DONT TRY TO SLIDE IT! You'll rip the duvet as it moves across the pins. Pick it up and gently move it. Once positioned, go around and "punch" the duvet down on the pin so that it come through the duvet. When all the pins are accounted for, put the caps on the pins, turn the duvet inside out (easy since the duvet doesn't move now) and you are done. The hard white plastic caps on are on the inside, the smooth plastic pad is on the bottom of the duvet (undetectable and not felt if you have a sheet between you and the duvet cover) and no ripped skin, problems or issues. The key to removing the caps is - GO SLOWLY. You can't just jack the removal key on the cap and rip it back up. Place it slowly down so that it fully covers the cap, then gently (and again, slowly) pull upward to remove the plastic cap. If you go to fast, the magnets won't attract the balls in the cap and remove it.So what is frustrating? I guess for me getting everything aligned when the duvet is changed... turning the cover inside out, taking the time to try to stick my hand all the way up to the top to place pins, straightening it after each time - it's a consuming process. Then again, I want *NO* movement of the duvet, so I use 10 pins (three across the top, 2 down each side, three across the bottom). BUT - it's worth it if you don't want your duvet to move. I change my covers out every quarter, at which point they are washed, dried and iron and waiting for the next use - so, at only four times a year, it's not bad.Highly recommended and well worth the frustration.

In My Opinion, Pinion Pins Are Best Pinned
The media could not be loaded. These are by far the best pins for keeping a duvet from bunching up. As you can see, I am able to pin my duvet quite effortlessly.

Disappointed
My understanding was that these are magnetic. They are, but they are also pins. So you have to put the pin through the fabric of the duvet cover. The pin is not that small. So it will make too big a hole in the fabric in my opinion. I may have not understood this when reading the description. That's why I'm giving it two stars instead of one.

Not Really
These are pretty nice, although I don't think I would buy them again. If you lose the magnet puller what are you going to do - LOL? Sometimes they don't want to stick on the pin right away and you have to straighten out the fabric so it will magnetize. In the end, I am using them but I found that just using baby diaper pins works just as well and certainly a lot cheaper. Also, these Pinions are a little bulky and made a hard bump at the corner. Plus we had a guest that accidentally stepped on one and broke it - so my personal opinion is that safety pins work better and are less bulky and not prone to being broken.

Awesome
FINALLY! A way to keep my comforter inside the cover without it bunching up at the bottom! The pins have a very strong magnet. None of them have come loose. I feel very safe using them even though the pins are very sharp. The tool to attach and remove the clips is ingenious. I found the quality to be very high. It was a bit of a hassle getting the comforter into position and then attaching the clips but well worth the effort. And I do realize that when it's time to wash the cover, I'll have to go through the whole placement again, but in the meantime, I'm sleeping every night warm and cozy.

Life saver!
I wish I had known about these ages ago! These are so easy to use! I even got lazy one day and threw my twin comforter with the duvet still on it in the washer, and everything came out perfectly, pins and all - not sure if you're supposed to do that or not, but it worked for me! I suppose you shouldn't do that in case of accidental tearing. But the magnetic part of these clips is actually so nice to have, and it's hard to lose it because it's magnetic and just sticks to the nearest piece of metal if it falls somewhere LOL. Just make sure your comforter is in good condition - not a bunch of clumpy messes all over the place, otherwise it's not really worth it. And the secret to getting the duvet on is, turning the duvet cover inside out and upside down - then, at one end of the comforter, line it up, and from corner to corner, pin the two corners first. Then slowly roll the duvet up over the comforter until the comforter is completely inside the duvet. Line the other two corners up by straightening the comforter and duvet out (sometimes I stand on the bed and shake the comforter down by holding the two corners that are already pinned). Simply pin the other two corners and you're done!

On the fence
I'm on the fence about this product. It does hold the comforter in place nicely but it is not as invisible as I had hoped. The pins are quite visible and the underside has a large plastic piece that you must be careful of not banging yourself with when you're in bed.

Works so far. Not the most beautiful, but does the job.
We have an oversized electric blanket that is very soft and slick so we put it inside a duvet cover to keep from slipping off the bed. They will not come off without a magnetic "key" so they have not come off in the first week of use. The key is easy to use but sometimes the pin does not come apart immediately and it takes some coaxing. Managed to get them all pit on ok, though. They are not the nicest looking thing in the world as they are convex clear plastic on one side (we got the large pack) and there is a large opaque plastic knob on the other side. We had to choose which side we preferred to be on the inside and which on the outside. We chose to have the flat side on the inside of the duvet to avoid discomfort of the protruding side against us. They have worked, though, so far. Nice that it comes with so many so there can be several pins on each side of the bed.

Not as described
I have paid quite a bit of money as I liked the cloth finish and hoped the pin would be quite small.I received a pin with a large see through plastic cap instead. It is not covered with cloth. I kept it because it comes from America, you already have to wait longer for delivery and I was so excited to finally get it.I am hoping that my son won't take offence to the large pins as it will certainly stop his bedding scrunching up into a ball inside the cover every night. On the plus side the pins look sturdy and the removal process is flawless.

Do not use on items you wish to wash
The media could not be loaded. These worked well first time as one-way pins. But, if you want to detach the pins to wash the doona cover, be cautious. The magnetic unlock tool is not fit for purpose.

Excellent and practical
Keeping the duvets in place. Works really well. Easy to put on. Be careful to do one layer at a time so the pins doesn't bed while trying to insert through a thick place

No more naked duvets!!
Exactly what I needed. These keep my duvet (Doona in Australia) cover on perfectly. No more waking up with my duvet on the floor and only a duvet cover on me. Easy to put these on and they are fairly invisible.
