This is a pretty hat. It is easy to shape, if a little floppy. It is heavier than a straw hat and it makes my head sweat more than a straw hat does. I wanted a straw hat. I live in Florida and need a light weight straw hat. This claimed to be straw. I didn't know it was PAPER straw until I received it. I will wear it in the winter, which lasts about 2 weeks here in Florida, so I did not send it back. Honestly, it should be advertised as PAPER straw, not straw. I am disappointed that I didn't get a new straw hat but instead, got a pretty paper hat that resembles a straw hat.

Comfy but a little big

This hat is very nice. The look, material and price are all excellent. The band around the hat gives it a special appeal and the color has a bit of shine . I am very pleased with this purchase.

I was surprised how well this hat is constructed. It is on the heavy side compared to my other straw hats, but I think it is because the weave is tight. Although the rim was bent funny, it was an easy fix because you just have to reshape the wire. The crown of the hat was fine. There is also an instruction sheet on how to reshape.The reason I took off one star- first, the decorative ribbon with the metal feather was way off center and I had to remove it and re-glue it. Second, there were no instructions on how to make the hat more snug on the inside and I accidentally pulled it apart and broke it. But again , needle and thread and glue came to the rescue. Would purchase again.
