This was also great, but I actually found it to be unnecessary. On its own, the Palette stays in the right position. The tension bolt stay is really only necessary if you want to add some space between your drum and the Palette. FYI, it does not actually affix itself to the tension rods, it just hangs there, no screws or mounts to speak of. This piece would be very useful if you wanted to fly the palette out a small distance to put it more like over your bass drum, but mounted to your floor tom. I also had the thought that if your rack tom were angled just so, you could probably put this on the bottom hoop, and that would give you other options. I give five stars because it's made well, does exactly what it is supposed to, even if unnecessary for my application.

Must have accessory for the Drummer's Palette.
Must have accessory for the Drummer's Palette. Allows for the palette to be adjusted to many different angles and areas around the drum, and pulls the palette away from the rim of the drum for those that have a tendency to accidentally hit the overlap. The description says it is an optional accessory to the Palette, but I completely disagree and think it is a must have addition, especially for those that like to experiment with their set up and need something that can adapt.
