PHP 7 in easy steps

The book has a very interactive style of teaching you the practical syntax and programming logic of PHP 7. Each section of each chapter has two parts. One is for reading to learn about the subject. The other part is hands on practice with step-by-step instructions on what to name the file(s) and the exact code that will be typed to learn the subject through a hands on mean.I bought this book because it's one of very few books written that cover PHP 7. The changes that have affected me the most is how PHP 7 handles Arrays and how PHP 7 communicates with the MySQL/MariaDB database. Despite following the exact steps in this PHP 7 in easy steps book on Arrays and connecting to MySQL, I am still running into bugs/errors. I hope there will be some updates to address these problems.

I'm not sure one can learn much this way! It hinders creativity. Repeating his steps takes forever and then you fall asleep:)This book can be boring. There aren't any exercises or challenges in it and won't learn you nuts and bolts of the language. Not for beginners not for advanced. It won't help you with the logic and it is not for those who want to learn to develop with PHP. Apart from a good looking print out quality nothing more in it.

Bought this book as a follow up to PHP5. This is a major rewrite, with a lot of updated content.Very good Value For Money.

I have owned a copy of this book, and the code is out of date, especially the image upload code tutorial.

this book really is great for me. I am by no means a geek but this book tells me how to set up something called a server for php and where to save my code. No fancy software needed just follow the instructions
