I was very impressed with the company, which emailed me after I purchased guaranteeing the map. It arrived well packaged (rolled, in a tube, in a shipping box) with no damage. I flattened it on a table with heavy books for a day or two, then framed it and got to scratching. I love that it has the borders for the states (being an American I could have done without the borders on the Canadian provinces because now I feel the need to scratch them off as I travel to them instead of just scratching Canada off at once, but that's just me). The map projection they chose is a little weird for this type of thing, but I knew that when I bought it. The color is beautiful, my only complaint is that because the gold goes beyond the edges of the continents it can leave a slight yellow tint on the white background, but it isn't noticibke unless you are very close to the map. I would recommend using the tip of a mechanical pencil to scratch off the outline of the state/county because the pencil gives you more precise line before using the provided guitar pick to scratch off larger areas. Warning: the map will make you want to go on more trips to new places.

I love this map! It's so satisfying to see the watercolors come out. It’s large so it fits fantastic on the wall.CONS: it doesn’t have San Marino, Bermuda, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Kosovo on the map. Which is disappointing but they’re very small countries so I let it go. But if you do update this map to add countries, I’d buy the updated one.The only complaint I have is that United Kingdom isn't divided into their separate countries of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. They each have their own national flag, so a bit confused why it's all just highlighted as U.K

It was great until we had to scratch it after a year and the scratching surface is now stuck to the color surface and won't come out. You have to use so much preassure that the paint layer will also come out. Really disappointed :-(

As a fellow travelbug, I love everything about this scratch off map! It's beautifully made on high quality paper, fun, and interactive to use. Measuring 2' x 3', this will make a lovely wall display that we can update periodically. This map also serves as an excellent source of inspiration for future trips (e.g. the satisfying scratching-off process makes you want to visit large countries such as Greenland, Antarctica, and China)! I purchased this as a gift for my significant other who loves to plan trips to our amazing destinations. Upon arrival, we spent a solid hour scratching off countries we have visited together and discussing our next big trip. The ordering/shipping process was flawless. Once I ordered this product, shipped out next day and arrived within 4 days of placing the order. After receiving my map, I got a welcoming email from TravelBugCo with recommendations/ideas on "best places to visit in 2017" which I thought was a clever and personal follow-up. We bought 4 of these for our daughters Christmas of ‘17 before moving across the world. We have traveled extensively and went to update their maps recently, but the gold does not scratch off (if it does it is in patches or takes the black with it). A scratch off map that doesn’t scratch off. You had one job... Disappointed.

We ordered this map and the USA map for Christmas presents. Both are Awesome! The USA map had a small crease in Alaska but my mom has been there and will scratch it off so hopefully it will be ok. The main reason I am giving a 5 star is the owner contacted me directly and wanted my honest opinion. You don't get personal care like that these days because most online companies could care less due to the volume of product they move. These maps are high quality and come in a really nice tube that explains the contents. I will be ordering another world map for my great uncle who has been to over 110 countries. I can't wait to see these get scratched off!

I ordered this product as a gift for my fiance as we have traveled a lot together and thought it would be a unique gift. However, after about 6 months we were unable to scratch the film off. We actually ruined the map from trying multiple different utensils to get the film off. I was so sad because this map looks like it would be beautiful if we were able to use it properly.

I’ve had this map for under a year, it scratch and looked beautiful for the first couple of months but now it won’t scratch out anymore! Tried everything the pick, a coin, even a knife and the scratch layer has sealed to the poster. Really disappointing as the point was to scratch it out!

Not like the regular ones, this one has a sort of fade of the different colours a bit like a sunset when places are scratched off.

Awesome and original! I bought this map for me and boyfriend, as we both travel for work and leisure. I love it! I think I'll buy it again for a friend's birthday!
