Scanmask Dr. Pye's 25 Million Live Beneficial Nematodes-Kills 230 Different Bugs

I live in the desert, surprisingly pests are a BIG problem. I have tried to garden for years, and have even used poisons. Nothing really won the war. I finally completely surrounded the garden for the fur vermin squirrels, mice, kangaroo rats, and all the others whose names I can not think of. I did that last year but the insects especially the underground grubs destroy the plants. It is sad to watch a zucchini grow, and have your mouth water waiting for it only to have it sucked dry by a grub you can't see. I did this at the start of my garden in February (See above I live in the desert) and while I do have insects TONS of lady bugs and bees and annoying flies my garden is bountiful this year. Tomatoes off the charts in number I can't keep up. And I have already had some harvests from my precious zucchini. I am ordering another batch.

As a scientist / Engineer I don't like ambiguous terms Like "cool" or "warm" what the hell does that mean. I want a number 40 degrees F, or 78 degrees some thing I can measure. I used distilled water to mix them as it did not say tap water with chlorine and fluoride safe? Also the directions did not give a time frame of when to apply. As to the effectiveness time will tell and I will report the results of this empirical research project. In the mean time they need to either improve directions or better still a different method of dispensing the little guys.

The single container was packaged in a medium-large flat-rate postal box with nothing else inside to keep the package sturdy. As a result, the container was squished, and the cold pack inside was all the way melted. I've put it in the fridge, but we'll see if the nematodes survived. If they did I'll update this. If they didn't, I'll probably have to give it 2 stars. Not a good sign though.

Just received this item which was shipped very soon and on time from Ohio to Texas, but disappointed about the way it was shipped. Instead of a small, surrounding box with cold pack included,it arrived in a flat box 12"X15". The plastic container was not in the carton pictured on Amazon, but was separate from carton and loose in the box with no packing at all. Instructions are not very clear, so went to website on box which required me to sign in. Not interested. The container felt warm, but it was immediately refrigerated. Plan to distribute some of these creatures at dusk. Hope they are still alive and will do the job. I will report the results later.

It works as long as you follow the directions. We saw results in a couple weeks and were very happy with the way it worked.

Don't know if it's working yet, too costly for something that you can't tell if it works

These nematodes seem to be taking care of my grubs. They are easy to apply to the yard and I'll order more.

They left it on the porch and this product you need to quickly put it in the refridgerator, I gave it a 3 star because of Amazon, they took it back thank you Amazon!!!
