You are moments away from enjoying Bluetooth music streaming in your Audi. Audi-A2DP is high-quality audio Bluetooth receiver that allows you to stream music from your phone or tablet, using apps like Spotify, Audible, Pandora, YouTube, Netflix, directly into your car's speakers. No separate app is required. It works with any app that has audio output, and any phone or tablet that supports Bluetooth. This includes iPhone, iPad, iPod and Android devices. The included 3.1A power adapter is powerful enough to charge a tablet. This 2-in-1 package includes everything you need to ensure that the Audi-A2DP receiver works with the particular configuration of your car, so you can buy with confidence. Compatibility Notes: This package provides you with two options: 1. Using integrated power through the AMI port in your car. 2. Using external power through the cigarette-lighter socket adapter. The integrated power option is available for a limited set of car configurations. It typically requires: 1. Factory-installed navigation (GPS) 2. "MMI 3G High", which is often indicated by an Audi Multimedia Interface (MMI) control knob that has a built-in joystick (a thumb-groove in the center). In addition, if you have a CD-changer, you may or may not be able to use the integrated power option depending on how the CD-changer is connected. The external power option will work with ANY car configuration with an AMI port and an available cigarette-lighter socket.

Nothing but a pain
Bought this for my 2012 Q5 S Line. From the beginning had connectivity issues. 25% of the time wouldn’t connect to the phone (Note 8) which is not an old phone by any means. Now, 99% of the time wont automatically connect and I have to re-pair it to my phone. TBH all you are paying for here is the cable to connect to MMI. The Bluetooth dongle only has a regular 3.5mm audio-out and a mini USB to power it. Get the cable seperate and buy a better Bluetooth dongle. Not worth the hassle or the price!

definitely does what is supposed to do. However,
definitely does what is supposed to do. However, sometimes you will lose your connection and you have to turn your device off and turn it back to reconnect

the product provided great sound quality paired with my Samsung Galaxy
Purchased this for my 2011 Audi with MMI. When functioning properly, the product provided great sound quality paired with my Samsung Galaxy and would be rated 4/5.However, the Bluetooth receiver itself has failed after ~1 month of use. Initially, it would require that I 'unplug and re-plug' the USB power coming from the AMI port in order to get it to turn on. A few weeks later, the Bluetooth receiver failed all together. I will be looking for another Bluetooth receiver to work with the USB / Aux.

Occasional skipping
It worked as expected, but there are times when it will skip for a moment as if the connection is lost. I like to stream music and this is still the best solution for my car that I could find. I was able to power it directly via the AMI cable which was great.

2014 Audi compatible
Works great with my 2014 Audi. If you own one of these cars you know how stupid Audi is for not including a Bluetooth media connection or a single auxiliary plug in. Those works fantastic for just that. Plugged it in, turned on Bluetooth and listened to music right away.

2012 Audi, Q5 success...
Purchased this for my wife's 2012 Audi Q5 with MMI 3G High. The phone, paired for use, was an iPhone 6 with the most current SW.1st- It works perfectly. It "paired" appropriately and all functions were tested successfully.2nd- It "does" work with iTunes; Pandora; & Audible.3rd- All three (above) were tested while listening, by making an incoming call to my wife's cell #. In each case, the music/podcast was interrupted and allowed my wife to answer the call. Likewise, in each case, the music/podcast resumed when the call was manually disconnected.4th- The install literature states that this item is: Audi-A2DP, and should be recognized during pairing as "AA2DP"...it does NOT. In fact, the pairing shows "B3501"...(?) No idea why but... it worked!!
