Steel Drum Gold II

I'm looking for soothing, tropical steel drum music to play on my boat, in the Florida Keys waters . . . this one had a lot of promise, and while it's all good, it's disappointing because the instrumentation overwhelms the steel drums. The other instruments are so crass and loud, you cannot get the "vibe" from the steel drums. I'd like to hear this Steel Drum player play without instrumentation.

We found out about this release through Bob's Facebook page. The selection of songs is perfect for us -- island songs but also other classics that just sound right with the steel drums. We put this on and mix up a pitcher of espresso martinis -- not exactly an island drink but it pairs nicely with the music anyway!
