rich scientist, Armitage, has problems. Not only is his luscious wife being wooed by all and sundry, but his laboratory is under threat of sabotage to steal his secret nerve gas formula. So he calls upon 'Rentadick', a band of private detectives given the job of protecting both his business and his wife. What follows is a catalogue of double-dealings and indiscretions in this hilarious comedy written by John Cleese and Graham Chapman.

Fun British Silliness of 50 Years Ago
This is fun, British comedy from John Cleese and Graham Chapman, with a love interest via Richard Beckinsale. The actors will be recognised from British TV of the 60s and 70s. Unfortunately, there's no information leaflet with the DVD, which might have included a decent pin-up of Beckinsale without his shirt. As it is, there are a couple of pics in the Gallery which are not film stills, so it seems that somebody, at least, has thought of this.

Truly abysmal
One of the worst British films I have ever seen.It is virtually unwatchable.Given the talent involved in this fiasco it is rather bewildering.John Cleese and Graham Chapman were the main writers. It shows the depths to which British films had sunk at this period of time.

Rentadick - mediocre 1971 film
Mediocre film from 1971 as might be expected from the title - seen this before on VHS (minus the ending) and wanted the DVD, good actors, some good scenes but not very funny.

Funny incidents throughout this film
A really quirky sex comedy typical of that time.Funny incidents throughout this film. The DVD is well worth a viewing to see some well known actors and actresses making a fools of themselves.
