We've found that the ones with the smaller bases (perhaps they are from the same manufacturer) require the least amount of light to actually move, These have the solar panels on their back rather than in the base, which allows you to turn them facing away from the window without losing any of the effectiveness of the solar panel. Really like them.

They are alright, I love the design but the piggy is not moving that great so thats a little disappointing but I am pleased with the deal on both of these fun guys and they enjoy hanging out on my dash!
