Great MRE, but not quite as pictured
All in all, a great mre. My only complaint is that the pictures show the special forces mountain ration, what was received was the regular special forces ration. The mountain rations have freeze dried entrees, which is what is pictured. However what I received has the standard wet pack entrees. Still a good mre for the price, would buy again

Not same as pictured, but still great.
Ration was fairly priced and arrived quickly and in good shape! Only complaint is that it is not the mountain ration pictures or described above. No pouches or chocolate, etc. But I do love the menu items that were packaged so I am not at a total loss!

One of the best ive ever tasted
Very similar to the other russian mre that comes in outer cardboard box, one thing this one included that was different was a delicious creamy whey protein shake mix. One of the best ive ever tasted! The other items were good too, oats and ham mix, drink mix, coffee, tea, burner stove. Overall this is a great little item, entertaining and delicious.

It stinks and is already decomposed upon arrival
The delivery was quite fast. But as the picture showed something has decomposed (I suspect it was the dry fuel since there is the only one left and it turns "pink"). It smells strong as I opened the case (something in the bottom also must have broken down and caused that dirt everywhere). I never bother to make sure it is the IRP ration as described, just throw them into the garbage bin. It's the first time I ever get a defective MRE, don't recommend this one.

My delight when I receive this was very short-lived
My delight when I receive this was very short-lived. Upon opening I noticed my favorite part the apple jam spread and fruit drink mix had burst and it ended up fouling the sugar suggesting that it did not recently burst. I would not recommend this product it's not even a "real" Mountain irp. It's simply repackaged. Just stick with the usual one in the cardboard box

Not as pictured
I received mine torn open with most of the contents damaged. I purchase military rations from around the world for my collection and was hoping it would be a mountain ration like the pictures show. It is not. What I received seemed like someone dumped the contents of a Russian 24 hour IRP into a mountain ration container. Save the money and buy a IRP.
