Ok
Good for what they are but i shouldn't have purchased these. They aren't worth the money. Too many sources is bad for me. All you need in pharm class is Katzung's review book which has to the point explanations for MOAs and drug uses and has awesome questions with explanations. For pharm for Step 1- UWorld qbank and FA are all you need. Don't waste your money, time, and resources on these. It's not enough bang for your time.

Good cards
I haven't been able to work through all of them, but these cards tell you what you need to know for Step. They are a little bit less detailed than my lecture exams require, but they have the MOA, side effects, and are presented in a clinical scenario on one side. They're good cards, and I've only heard good things about them from the upperclassmen. I'm an MS2 studying for Step currently, so I hope these pay off.

Well Organized, but not completely comprehensive
Disclaimer: I have only used these cards for learning anti-microbial agents so farWhat I like:- Each card has a clinical case on the back to put things in context- Cards are well organized into "mechanism of action", "Clinical Uses", "Side Effects", and "Other".- Overview cards organize drugs into classes. For example, Antibacterial Agents are separated into "beta lactams, protein synthesis inhibitors, antimycobacterial, and other antibacterial. What I don't like:- The cards often seem to be missing key elements that I have had to look up in other sources and write onto my cards. For example, there is no mention that aminoglycosides are not absorbed orally and must be given by IV. This kind of missing information has happened a couple times, but not too often, so I am content to write it in on my own...better for learning anyways...- At times, I found that the cards were too wordy. For example, why say "macrolides are effective against gram-positive cocci" when you can just say "gram-positive cocci" and get the same message across? Isn't that the point of flash cards?- I would have preferred thicker cards...these are slightly flimsy. On the whole, pretty decent, althought I don't have a different set of cards to compare to.

Perfect for pharmacology
I will start by saying that I am not a pharmacist. I am a medical student trying to somehow juggle all the pharm information I can for boards! With that said, I feel these cards put just the right amount of information to give you a good grasp on the drugs you need to know. I'm glad I bought these and not anything more detailed and intense--it's hard enough memorizing all the info as it is!

Okay for learning pharm
While it has good vignettes, I find once you read through them once, you don't really get very much more out of them. These cards have a lot of information, and don't really help simply pharm, or point out the important facts better than any other source.I used them to study for Step 1, but honestly, could have done without them. I'm not sure they really made a difference. I would recommend you just make or compile your own flashcards.

Good for boards
I bought these cards to review the step 1s and they did a good job covering most of the high yield topics. If you supplement these cards with the USMLE Qbank (which 99% of the people do) then you will be 100% ready for the boards. Other cards that I've tried are overly detailed and frankly too much for the boards.Other reviewers have said that these cards are not 100% comprehensive and that is true. But honestly you don't need a deck that has everything for the boards. Time is limited and memorizing every minuscule fact about drugs is very low yield.Update: I used these cards for about 5 days total to study for the boards (these cards + qbank were my main/sole source of info on pharm) and I ended up getting 245/99 on the exam. Pharm isn't my strong point and frankly the subject is like memorizing a phone book. However, these cards are great for boards and made studying slightly easier.

Great product, but ..
First of all have to say it's a great product to have. Well made with detailed pharm facts. However, having taken the Step 1 already and comparing the amount of pharm questions, in retrospect flash cards were not really necessary for me. But if you are a person who needs this style of learning, definitely get it

Pharm Flash Cards
Although I had passed my boards a long time ago, I was in a job that did not require many nursing skills or medications. So, I am reentering home health care and wanted to refresh my memory on medications and this is a wonderful way to do it!The information on each of the drugs is very thorough.

Excellent USMLE review flashcards
The information on the cards is great and allows for fast and easy study. I wish the cards were a little bit thicker and less floppy but this is nitpicky. Overall a 5 star product
