It really works!
Bought it to extend the range of Wifi signal between Sony A7RIII camera and Sony Imaging Edge Mobile. Initially it didn't seem to work. However, turned out I had connected to the house Wifi instead of the camera Wifi. Inputting the password in the camera, not the house Wifi is another important step. You really have to set it up carefully and use some common sense to compensate for the instruction that is a bit lacking. I suspect some of the bad reviews resulted from user error. Anyway, it works and the range in controlling the camera from a cellphone is at least 150 ft, more than I need! I may purchase another one as a backup!

Does Not Work
I plugged it in - lights up, but no no device detected. Then I came back to the Amazon page for the device, and saw the instructions at the bottom of the page. The instructions seemed to work. For about 5 seconds I had 5 bars, but then it dropped to 1 bar. I started doing speed tests with and without the device - no change. Not worth it.

VERY SLOW Upload and Download Speeds
The setup is fairly simple and it does what it says all except for the 300mbps. I tested it against 2 other WIFI extenders. One was the MIFI (also powered by USB) and a wall socket extender. I had all 3 set up to repeat my ATT WIFI router. In multiple side by side tests, the other two extenders were averaging 15mbps download and 6mbps upload speeds. This TONGJI extender never got above 5mbps download and 4mbps upload speeds. It will boost/repeat your WIFI, but your speed will suffer. It was so cheap I won't bother returning it. It will become a 50 cent garage sale item..

Has WPS button
I bought this to use with WPS smart devices, and it works great for that. Initial setup was easy the first time, but once I reset it and tried to set it up again I had to try two or three times to get it to work. Eventually it did, so no harm no foul I suppose.The range is pretty short (tens of feet) so make sure you put it close to the room you want to boost signal in.

Item was defective and did not work. Had an IT professional troubleshoot it. Junk. Don't waste your money. I am returning it.
