It is plastic, not tempered glass. The edges have a tiny bit of adhesive which does not keep the screen protector on the phone. The middle of the screen protector is slightly bubbled so you have to press harder to get a response from the phone. The whole thing wouldn't even stay on without a case, it just fell off every time I pressed on the screen. I've had tempered glass for other phones and this one did NOT meet any sort of standard. There is only a millimeter of adhesive around the very outside edge of the so-called glass. Then every time you type the protector pops and crackles because the adhesive does not stay connected to the screen. Also, the areas near the curve of the edge are not very responsive to touch.
