[UPDATED]After receiving a replacement from the manufacturer, my review of the product has changed. I did receive the more oak like color as my replacement rather than the mahogany color, but i personally like the oak look a bit more. It does charge well and I have been testing it for about two weeks now to charge my phone at work. I am still disappointed that the cable is not detachable from the base as both the product page and manual suggests.[ORIGINAL]The visual aspect of it is nice and clean. The style of it is more of a matte than one that is shiny like in the image. The angle it provides is great for a desk. The issue is that it does not provide adequate charge to charge my S8. I am using the AC wall adapter that came with the S8. The phone has been sitting on this charger for over an hour and it has gone from 41% when I sat it down, to 40% over the span of an hour. I removed my case about half an hour into the test to give it a fair chance. The case is 1.5 mm thick and is plastic and leather. After finishing typing this review, the charge is now at 39%.A note: the cable is not detachable, It is fed into the base and the only connector is a Type A USB male connector to go into the AC adapter.

and it charged up my samsung galaxy note 8 but don't buy ... only reason i say that just because can do without ... i got it because when i stopped in best buy salesperson was telling me the reason why people buy these type of chargers which is to prevent damage to the port but ive seen other designs on in other stores and amazon and like since i purchase but too late to return this one dont like wasting $$ so i'll keep/use it

Works great and consistently! It's nice to be able to charge my phone while it is sideways. However, it's not perfect due to these 3 things that I have noticed:1. The color is a bit more red than the pictures show. It's definitely more of a redwood color, not brown like I see in the pictures.2. The balance is slightly off when my iPhone X is sideways on it, letting the dock rock back and forth a little bit. Not a big deal, but a little annoying.3. The inside of the joint connecting the base and the charger gets very hot. makes me worried about how long it will last, and if it is damaging the phone. However, I've been using this dock every day for about 3 weeks with no real issues so far.

Only had it for about 2 weeks but i really love this thing! Looks great! Works great! Its really convenient just dropping your phone on this little stand and charging it. Fast charging works pretty well, I noticed that it doesnt charge quite as fast as a traditional "plug in" fast charger, but no doubt it charges faster than a regular charger. BTW, this won't fast charge your phone unless you have the charger plugged into a fast charger wall adapter, and obviously if your phone doesn't support fast charging lol. Overall very satisfied with this product (so far) and the price is really good for what you get. This thing works better than the samsung wireless charger, and for half the price. Definitley recommend!

I think this is almost perfect... I love the wood grain look, sure it's plastic but it's better than black with some logo on it.I have two gripes; first is it's a bit too tall. I order to unlock my Galaxy S8+ I have to tip it forward to reach the finger sensor.Secondly, as it appoaches 100%, it seems to turn off and on a few times, before it decides it doesn't need to charge a full phone. It seems to only do this a couple of times before it stops.

I've had mine for 2 years. It hasn't worn down at all and still use it every day. Overall it is good although sometimes the phone loses charge connection with it and then a second later it connects to it. I also use it to charge my airpods. I just have to put my chapstick under it so it reaches the coil.

Color is off - more red than dark brown wood. See photo. I don't know any dark wood that is this color.But seems to work fine. Attached a photo with colored markers to show.

It functions properly. When I paid ~$20 for this I expected it to have a false wood backing or something but it's literally all just wood-colored plastic. Very tacky. I really thought paying $10 more than other wireless chargers would get me a nice wood finish but I'm left with this... thing.
