Sturdiness - I found this has very soft covers so it would not be very sturdy. But it is lighter because of that.It is sturdy enough for ordinary use. But if this will be carried around long time then you might want hard covered sketch book instead. But this ring binding makes it easy to open fully without holding pages, which I like.
