Are both containers and lid BPA free?

Are they BPA free? Based on the information on the box they came in, the answer is YES

What material are the lids made of? Are they oven safe?

I have only used these for freezing never the oven. Ipurchased these for leftover as soups and when I make homemade broth. This helps to have the measurements when adding to other dishes. They are good but need to place on a flat surface when freezing liquids and the lid doesn't stay on well.
