Straws confuse her so I was curious if she’d get the concept of the “sippie” cups. There is a spill guard in the mouthpiece that you need to bite down on while drinking to let the liquid out. She couldn’t manage that, but I was able to easily snip the spill guard with a pair of scissors. It worked perfectly! Yes, a little will drip out now if she drops it but it is SO much better than an open cup. The hourglass shape gives her a perfect grip. These cups make her very happy - she loves the bright colors (and we both love the independence she’s regained using them).
