Unit should have a power supply verses battery or at least that option. Even with dual batteries they only last 3-4 days when running a wood stove.

Works as advertised
I purchased the electronic catalyst thermometer for my 1991 Vermont Castings stove. I have used the stove with the thermometer 5 times so far and the product has worked as advertised. It is very useful for setting the by pass to the catalyst. A few times it notified of a potentially maximum temperature for the catalyst.A few suggestions for improvement:1) Allow the user to adjust the volume of the alarms.2) Add a remote monitoring through a phone app to allow user to be away from monitor and still be aware of operating temp of the stove.I would recommend this monitor to any catalyst stove owner interested in operating your stove safely and effeciently.
