Chest Freezer Low temperature quick freeze 14℉ to -40℉ Compact Freezer - 2 Removable Baskets Match Day Parties, Home Bar Game Day &Beaded Ice Cream & Frozen Storage (Red, 1.8 Cubic Feet)

I got the red ultra-low temp freezer that reaches -40F. It is great! Here is info for how to use it! This upgraded freezer has the temperature screen with the Lock and Freeze lights, and the buttons for -, +, and Snowflake Freeze (not the red light button some other reviews mention). Came greatly packed! Let it stand vertically for some hours or a day. Then plug in. To set temperature, press + and - simultaneously for about 3 seconds until lock light is off then you can set temp (press - to go as low as -40 F). After that in about 40 seconds the lock light comes on again (if you need to set temp again do the above again). First time you plug it in and it is empty , the temp shown on the little screen might move up and down as it settles, do not worry , it takes about a few hours for it to settle. You can check it works (cools well) by getting a low temp thermometer (eg Escali AHF2 Shatter Proof Glass Refrigerator Freezer Thermometer with Suction Cups, Safe Temperature Indications, Fridge and Freezer Temperature Zones NSF Certified) and put it inside, it will show this freezer reaches the temp you set, as low as-40 F, as I have checked. Which is great! Two more fyi: the freeze light is on only when you use quick-freeze mode (which you set as follows: unlock (see above the 3sec unlock procedure) then press Snowflake Freeze Button)-in the quickfreeze mode the compressor works all the time but it is extremely quiet. Second Fyi: if you want to ensure the top is very well closed such that no outside moisture goes inside (eg avoid any ice formation inside), put some books on the top of the freezer to make sure it is pressed down well. All in all, this Freezer is great and at a really affordable price point for such a quiet freezer that reaches -40 F!

Rest, assured, I will update this review when I have had it more than the four days (14 days now, still good) we have had it.- undamaged upon delivery. Maybe they responded to reviewers complaints, because it came very thoroughly cosseted in styrofoam.Since I am the big eater in our household, I am always crowding my wife’s stuff into a corner of the refrigerator's freezer compartment. She can’t find the ice cream or chicken fettuccine or whatever, covered as it is by hotdogs, bacon, and tubs of homemade spaghetti sauce. This will solve the problem, I think. We shall see.- I Just let it sit as advised for the first 11 hours with power off to let any fluids settle.- Turned it on and set it to the “medium“ number of four as recommended to start.- very quiet indeed. If you’re hearing isn’t that good, you know the compressor is on because the green light on the front goes on.- Working temperature is supposed to be reached within 24 hours. The walls were freezing within three hours. this was at an external temperature of 64° F.I worry that the insulation might be somewhat insufficient. I am tempted to wrap it an extra insulation, but that could cover the heat exchange coils and defeat their purpose.I have settled by throughing a couple of heavy foam pads atop the lid. It seems to be efficient enough as it is. It has stayed near 3.5 F °for days now at a setting one number warmer than medium. As I said, I will jump right on it with an update if there are any problems. Reading the reviews– it seems that reliability can be a problem in a somewhat random way. I am hoping that I am one of the satisfied customers.p.s. I didn’t tell my wife that I purchased it. It’s stashed in a corner of the garage (we live in a mild climate) and so far she hasn’t even noticed it. It’s that inconspicuous.

My husband and kids love their sushi! He has learned to make it at home with them and so he did some researched and learned that the temp of the sushi needs to be well below zero. We have it in our storage room and so far, so good. I had some concerns it was going to be an energy hog, but haven’t seen any reflection of that on our electric bill.

Very spacious and with the 4 baskets, I have some options rather than just piling the food in the bottom. I think they could come up with a lower level sliding tray or basket, which would make for more options, but probably at a higher cost. In hindsight, I should have shopped local (Lowe's), as I found a similar chest freezer for about $200 less. Might have been a crappy brand/model, so I'm not too upset. I like the temperature control feature, as it's outside and not inside like some older models. It sure would have been nice to have an external temperature gauge, like maybe on top of the lid, possibly on one of the sides?? From reading the guide, if I want 0 degrees F, then the temp knob goes to 4 or 5, or in between, I'll figure it out once I get a freezer thermometer for it. I'm looking forward to using this and already moved all the freezer packs we've seemed to collect over the years into this. If nothing else, will free up space in the freezer in the house (Installed this chest freezer in the garage). I was a little annoyed that I couldn't elevate the install by using bricks, but the bottom of the chest just wasn't set up in a way that I could do that, nor did I see a way to mount any wheels or "feet", as it already has a couple of rubber "feet" on one end. I did have to shim one corner to stabilize it, but it wasn't terrible and it sits pretty steady on the concrete floor. My garage is detached from the house but I have power to the garage, so standard house plug in electrical is available. My only somewhat concern is during hot summers, the inside of the garage CAN get pretty hot, and on the flip side, during very cold winters it can get quite chilly; will have to see how it goes, but I think it will be fine. I had a smaller fridge/freezer (Bottom/top) in upstate NY back in 2002 and a couple of winters got down to BELOW -30 for a couple of weeks straight - anything left in the door position got frozen (Was installed in attached garage, which was unheated). I still have this fridge/freezer today in NC, but about a year ago or so, the freezer pretty much quit, even though the fridge still functions. I should be happy I got that many years out of an el-cheapo fridge brand.

I've had this freezer for a while now, and it's still running great. It's a nice size, not too bulky or taking up too much space, and holds quite a few things. It's very sturdy and looks nice anywhere you'd put it, and can even be decorated with magnets or other ways if wanted. The seal is great, and I don't notice any leaks in it, and it doesn't seem to even be too much of a drain on power. Easy to use and also defrost, and I am glad I got it.

It has been almost three years and I love this chest freezer!! Great look and great amount of space for everything!! Great Item!!

The item I received did never work: temperature did not go down below 67F. They delivered the item at the entrance to the yard but not the entrance door. Also returning was not easy. It had to be carried to UPS. The item was very heavy and bulky. I struggled to put into tha trunk of my car.

Great quality. I love the three removeable baskets up top. Runs quiet and efficient. I was without power due to hurricane. Freezer was packed, lid remained closed and food lasted 3 days without power before food began to thaw. I recommend for small chest freezer.
