Nicely packed; Comes with a magnetic sealed box. This is an incredibly well-made knife (The pattern is beautiful too), with great balance, excellent steel. The knife is very comfortable to hold. It was very sharp when I took it right out of the box so you have to be careful with it. Get one and you will sure be very pleased with purchase.

Knife blade is very sharp and holds an edge. Japanese style knives are not meant for a steel so use a fine stone. It may not be a 100% authentic Japanese knife but it will do whats intended to do. The handle however feels hollow and much lighter than it should.I gave it one less start because I believe it should just be a touch lower in price for the handle alone. Other than that, its a good knife to have.

My husband surprised me with this knife since I've only had dull old cheap knives and I was so happy when I used it...i cut some sirloin steak and it was like I was cutting butter.. Same thing when cutting potatoes. So smooth..ahhh I'm in love with a knife how sad lol. Seriously this is a great knife.. again I'm not an expert I've only had my cheap knives but even those wouldn't cut like this one did. I'm happy, I will have start a collection lol

Good knife for the price. Doesn't come as sharp as I had expected but a few times thru the knife sharpener and you've got a razor edge. Nice balance. Recommend this knife if you want a quality blade but don't want to spend the premium price.

The knife is very well made. It cuts veges like butter and looks like a jewelry piece. Seriously this work of art comes in a reusable protective box and literally looks like a jewelry piece. So far the knife has held up very well. This isn't something you want to use to cut through bone but I think anyone buying a knife like this would know that already.

This is a work of art! The steel blade is amazing - cuts through veggies as if they were butter. For the money, this beats my German steel blades. It arrived in a beautiful box with steel hinges. I might buy another one as a wedding gift for my niece. Excellent value for the price. If you need a new chef's knife, I recommend you buy this one.

Not as sharp as the real thing made in Japan. Not by half.

This is a great knife for the $$. Very sharp, well balanced, and comfortable to work with. It comes in a beautiful box, so it would make a great gift.
