It Works - Don't be misled
This works perfectly. As many of you already know, these devices have a habit of "forgetting" what their function is, dropping out signal, etc. Not this one. It "remembers." I have almost beaten it to death, changing up positions with various functions, and it operates flawlessly.Another thing.. there are reviews saying that it doesn't fit the Surface Pro 3. This thing does. I haven't seen the Pro 4, but I can't imagine they moved the primary USB down, vis-a-vis the magnetic power input slot. They even include the extra power cord, in case you were smart enough to get a power unit with an auxilliary power USB slot.

Good for Tablet w/out Case
This is a very nicely-made USB 3.0 HUB for a Surface Pro 4 *if* your tablet computer does not have a protective case. If it has a case around it, the Lizone will not work with it.

Hacked it so I can use this and the charger at the same time!!!
This USB hub works great vs one you have to plug in with a cable that dangles all over the place. Nice tight fit with a tapered edge that hugs the side of the surface pro 4.There is one major drawback though. You can't use it and the charger (for the surface pro 4) at the same time. The USB hub hangs down just a little too far for the charger to fit at the same time. I was really frustrated that I didn't read the reviews others have left stating the same thing. However if you are extremely careful you can make it work like I did!!! First let me say that there is a good chance you will destroy your brand new USB hub. So don't try it unless you are willing to take the risk. You just need a drill with a 7/32" drill bit. You carefully drill out the bottom front corner like my attached pictures. It takes some time and a lot of trial and error to drill out enough to make enough room for the charger plug to clear. I took the back cover of the USB hub off first to see what I was dealing with, but i'm not sure you need to do that (you can pry it up from the edges with a small amount of force). Just be careful and don't damage the circuit board. There's just enough clearance to "nibble" away at the plastic corner and not hit the circuit board or the components. All of my USB ports are working with the charger connected! The only thing that appears to have broken is the small blue LED light in the center of the unit that lights up when you plug it in. Not important to me.Who knows how long it will last, but I'm pumped that it worked and didn't break!

It is a USB hub - BUT NOT FOR THE SURFACE. If you plug it in, you can't fit the power cable in!! It is two long. I had to throw it away and look for one actually designed for the surface.

Does Not Work - Only One of Three Ports Functions
What a huge letdown... I had such high hopes for this product but unfortunately, it does not work. Only ONE of the three USB ports works... the other two do absolutely nothing.I've attempted to use this with several other Surface Pro 3s that my coworkers have, and they also are unable to get this to work with their systems.

Excellent USB 3.0 HUB for Surface Pro!!!
I was looking for something exactly like this, but not just for my Surface 3, in order to increase the number of USB connections on some of my devices. First, for the Surface 3 it fits very well and does not block the power adapter. On the Surface Book 4 it does cover both USB ports, so you only gain one port, however this device was designed for the Surface 3 so I do not count this against it (as at least one other reviewer did).I Love it!I tested the performance with two HDD Digital hard drives connected and the transfer speeds were great, I did not notice any issues there or impact to the performance of either drive. There is also a micro USB cable supplied with the hub so that you can power it, but I didn't even need this for the two hard drives plugged in at the same time.Overall, the quality of the hub seems excellent, I did not have any issues plugging or unplugging USBs (they did not seem too tight), and I plan to continue using it on my Surface and other devices.I received this item at a discounted price in exchange for an honest and unbiased review

Very good tool for Surface owners.
Does exactly what it says. Very nice tool for increasing the number of USB devices that can be connected.Only 3 stars because you have to remove it when you dock your Surface. Which means plugging and unplugging your USB devices.

Middle USB 3.0 port died after 3 weeks of normal use, but with great warranty it was promptly replaced with fully working hub
For my surface pro, it sits nice and smug, and having external USB power is a bonus. However after 3 weeks of normal use, the middle USB 3.0 port is now completely dead. This is disappointing considering how much this hub costs, only to fail after 3 weeks, while my cheap replacement USB 3.0 Chinese hub is still going strong after months of use.Update... Lizone has a great no hassle 18 month warranty, and promptly replaced my defective hub, with a new identical hub. So far all 3 USB ports on the new hub is working, and so far I am very happy with it again.
