Gibson Home Mauna Melamine Plastic Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 (12pcs), Grey Rustic

I've had another set in blue for over 10 years. I've never had a chip, break or any issues. Exactly what I want. My old set has had zero complications. I decided to buy this set primarily for my upgrade in color. Aesthetics. I use in microwave VERY little and i use for less then a minute. Note: Microwaves have different strengths, mine is low. I've ONLY ever washed my set by hand. I cant currently review long-term use for current set, but as long as materials to make dish set haven't changed, I'm sure with proper care, these will out last me. I'm currently middle-aged lol. I will update should anything change. So currently I'm giving a 5 star review and recommendation. *in regards to color: If you're looking for absolute pure white, this is not. Against solid white there is a very slight pink hue in this set. However it's so slight and with its crackled appearance, and with my distressed farmhouse kitchen theme, its NOT a big deal to me. Could potentially be to someone else.

Bought this set for our RV.. Having arthritis, I wish I had bought these YEARS ago!! They are GORGEOUS, matching my modern Farmhouse deck and so lightweight. I can easily hold them, wash them.. etc.. Plus my 9 year old can also enjoy without worry of breaking them. They came thoughtfully packaged and in excellent shape. I highly recommend! .... Especially for my fellow people with arthritis or issues with their hands. A total godsend.

I struggled with this purchase. I have been looking for melamine dishes for awhile. My neighbor has a set which is very realistic. You cannot tell by looking at them that they are not ceramic. These are not that! They are thinner than I expected so clearly appear plastic. When I unpacked them, the first thing I noticed was the weird shape of the plates. The outside ring curves downward. Im really not sure if this is intentional so they stack well, but it’s another dead giveaway that they are not ceramic and a disappointment. They are, however, nice and light weight. They also fit together very snugly when stacked so they fit easier in my cabinet. They are very easy to clean because of the glossy surface. They arrived in excellent condition; no chips, broken pieces, or scratches. I have only had them for a few days, so I can’t speak to durability yet, though washing them in the dishwasher was no problem. Some reviews complain about the dishes having issues with use in the microwave. Personally, I’d say they need to read more carefully as the description clearly states they are not microwavable! I ordered these because I wanted casual easy dishes to use anytime, even with guests. These do fit that bill and I am keeping them. They are nice looking. I was also attracted to these because they have matching platters, which I also ordered. I think the price point is spot on for what you get with these versatile dishes; they are great for casual dining on your couch, setting a table, eating poolside or in the backyard, look nice enough to use with friends, and make an easy go to option for convenience eliminating the need for paper plates. Just wish they looked a little more realistic.

I bought 2 sets of seconds. One set had 1 bowl with a slight flaw. The other set had 2 broken plates Amazon gave me a nice refund of part of the purchase price for 1 set . Since the plates were the salad plates didn’t make a difference to me and the refund was more then enough to compensate. Very happy with the dinnerware.

Love the color and how light it is but my daughter dislikes the fact that can’t put in the microwave!!

These dishes have the look of antique enamel dishes from the 1800’s and are very lightweight which is helpful when you have medical issues making it hard to pick things up. They have a rustic look great for farmhouse kitchens and manly kitchens although my adult son was not impressed. They are also great for camping and picnics due to weight. They have withstood steak knives, microwave, and even lower dishwasher although they say top shelf only. I prefer hand washing to make sure they keep the shiny smooth finish.

These were beautiful and exactly what I was looking for - my own issue was I microwave a lot and they are not microwave safe

I wasn't going to open this box as I was going to use these plates for my vintage camper next summer.. LUCKY I decided to open. When I opened the box a plate had a big piece missing out of it.. I called amazon as I was disspointed as I like the "look" of the plates. I looked in the box and Couldn't find the piece. I advised amazon of the problem and wanted to order another one, said they would note it and I will let them know if I receive another damaged one. Upon looking more, I am thinking this came like this from the Manufacture. As where is the piece.. I did notice others said they received broken plates.. I did send an email to the manufacture on instagram as a "courtesy" with a picture.. but they were not too concerned.. until I said I was a small business owner and its a quality inspection thing before going out. I will see what my new set is like and packed like.. Just thought I would let you know. The supplier should be packing these better IMO I had a hard time reviewing this.. as I don't know if they are durable? it was broken.. I can say they "look nice".. we'll see how they hold up and I will update as time goes on!

São lindos, leves, generosos de tamanho e seguros de usar. Aprovado com as crianças e idosos da família. Pena, que não dá para ir ao micro-ondas. Parece de cerâmica, fica bonito na arrumação da mesa, principalmente na área externa da casa.
