Keychron C2 Full Size Wired Mechanical Keyboard, Red Switch, Retro

Very nice keyboard! I have been using it for a while now and the only issue I have is that the "a" key can be a little unresponsive at times but that never interferes with my experience and I'm sure there's an easy fix for that. It is very easy to connect, set up, and switch the mode from Mac OS to Windows and vice versa. Additionally, I enjoy the extra keys it comes with, easily accommodating whatever OS your computer uses as well as personal preferences. The red switches also sound pleasant when I'm typing, perfectly clicky. Overall, this keyboard is great for anyone and the design provides a nice, retro aesthetic to their setup.

I bought this keyboard to use with my MacBook and and very happy that I did. It works flawlessly and the feeling of typing is perfect for what I was after, I liked the look of this retro color version of the Keychron C1 and C2 but I opted for the C2 because I wanted a full size keyboard. It is non-backlit which I don’t mind but I know isn’t for everybody. This keyboard is well constructed and sturdy, it’s wired so I never have to worry about charging it, and it being non-backlight means it won’t drain my laptop battery too much or too quickly to use it. It’s simple but feels great and looks cool in my opinion, I’m very happy with this purchase. This is my first Keychron keyboard and so far I am a fan of their products. I would recommend this to anybody that just wants a nice typing experience with no frills. I chose the Keychron Red switches and I am happy with them, not too “clicky” or too loud, but just right.

While the numlock light does not work, everything else is good and works with macOS: brightness, apps, desktop, rewind, play/pause, fast-forward, mute, volume up and down, screenshot, and lock button all work as expected. Much better than the standard Mac keyboard, which is flat and offers limited tactile feedback. I have a tremor in the left hand but the action of this keyboard means I can control it.

Not a great keyboard. Been using it at work for the last 6 months. No hard or intense use whatsoever. The backspace key intermittently fails to register input requiring you to press it multiple times. I came to write this review because the `e` keycap internals just snapped. I'm typing this now without a keycap on my `e` key. I have no idea if I'm able to get a refund on this keyboard given how long i've had it, but I've never experienced this many issues with a keyboard and I wouldn't recommend it. I really like the look of it, and the switches are nice, so it's unfortunate that it's had enough issues that I want to give up on it.

I bought this C2 Keychron-Red-Switch non-hot-swappable non-backlight (i.e. the most basic version) keyboard as a first time mechanical keyboard user and after months of searching YouTube and web over switches, mechanical keyboard types and reviews and etc. I always wanted to use it in office while working around others, so from the outset noise was a consideration. I am a researcher in engineering so I do a lot of coding and writing for extended amounts of time. I am also a milenial so the retro look was also a factor for me. For the price, this in my opinion is the best thing you can possibly buy, bar none! It is such a pleasure to type on this, I hate typing on my laptop and other membrane keyboards now. The build quality and thoughtfullness that went into the design is truely amazing, the keys after all this typing have remained reliable, it is easy to clean the if debrees go under keys and the typing accuracy is excellent. The red-switch despite being linear feels very different than membrane switches and in a good way. It is not as silent as your typical membrane switch keyboard however the sound level is very acceptable, no one has yet objected to me after 4 months of typing everyday. I have recieved praises from everyone for the looks of the keyboard. If you are looking for an affoardable high quality mechanical keyboard, this is it. I hope Keychron never stops producing these.

The keyboard is very nice but how come they replaced pause, scroll lock keys with something I do not need. I will have to remap with powertools. Update: windows powertoys can NOT remap that as it is a combinations of keys sent. I need the "Print Screen", "Scroll Lock" and "PAUSE" keys instead of what they put: something, cortana, log off. The support is a bad joke, after explaining many times what I want I am still getting answers from poorly traind AI, i.e. "please share a video of your problem"

I got the Red keys and it's so satisfying to type on. This keyboard is well worth the value. It comes with different keycaps for mac and for windows specific buttons, beige colored esc key along with a keycap remover, and a nice threaded usb-c cable to plug in. The only thing I don't like is the spacebar, it's a little loud and some of the keys are hard to reach compared to what I'm used to on my main keyboard. For example when I'm using it for gaming the "Left Alt" it hard to reach with my thumb. Other than those slight nit-picks this is a great keyboard. Would 100% recommend to people looking for a more retro looking keyboard for a reasonable price. Only thing that could make this better is backlit keys with light up letters to see at night.

Let me start by saying I know almost nothing when it comes to tech. So please excuse my mistakes in tech vocabulary. I have the 2021 Macbook that only has USB-C ports. I came from having a Windows/PC computer/laptop and I felt like an incompetent giant when I tried to type on that flat Macbook keyboard. I bought the Lenovo Bluetooth keyboard but it was small and I didn’t like the circle-shaped keys. This keyboard had everything I wanted: 1. Wired (connected by a cord, not just by Bluetooth) keyboard 2. Cord with USB-C so I wouldn’t need an additional dongle/adapter 3. Works with Macbook/has Macbook keys (it does come with keys for both) 4. Lifted (the optional little stands on the back so it’s at an angle) 5. Same size and feel as a keyboard from an early 2000s computer lab. It’s standard size with all the buttons and BIG, TALL, CLACKING keys. I’m a law school student/mostly work from home and I love this keyboard, BUT if you work in a quiet shared space, it will be noticeably louder than other laptop/external keyboards (if you’re a student, I would not plan to bring this keyboard to a testing center where you’ll be using it in a *silent* space. I tried that and ended up going back to the Macbook keyboard because I felt it was TOO loud/distracting for other people).

Excellent keyboard. it sounds great! Almost like an original model M. The colours and tactile feel are absolutely perfect. It is loud, and that is what I was looking for! And it works perfect with Mac, even the FN key.

Nice typing experience, no hassle plug and play with usb c and usb a options, ideal for the office. Product was posted in original box like if you purchased it from a store, without an outer postage box so this could tempt someone to steal it if delivered to your front door unattended.

I did not see reviews for this keyboard from India, so I was confused before purchasing one. But ohhhhh one of the best purchases in recent times. It gives a perfect retro look, just how I wanted. And being a fan of red switches, I am in love with the creamy sound and the joy of typing. After trying TKL keyboards for a few years now, I have come to accept I love full key keyboards! And this one is a perfect piece of joy in my office.

you can find better keyboard for the price, but I wanted this color. please keep in mind this is not hot swapable keys
