Given how inexpensive this is, I figured there was about a 50% it would arrive dead. But in fact, it works GREAT! If you point it in the night sky, you can clearly see the line of it, for a long way. I went outside and pointed it into the farthest tree I could see from my yard. It is several hundred yards away. And I could still see a bright green dot on the leaves, even at that distance. It is just devouring the alkaline batteries I put in it, so I bought some lithium AAA batteries for it. It will probably drain them pretty fast too, but it is worth it! Be careful with this. It could definitely blind somebody. And I would not use it at all if there is a police helicopter flying around, nearby.

First off, I'm not a competing seller or in any way connected to the laser business. I'm just a dork that likes to play with lasers.That said, this product is an absolute waste of money. After being disappointed with this product, I've found there are solidly constructed lasers with powerful beams that you can purchase at this price point out there (I paid $10.16 in May '17, it's since dropped to under $5 as of the date of this review).Although this does sometimes throw out a beam, at its best it is very weak; it can barely be seen a couple houses down the street at night for a few seconds as it fades in and out within the first couple minutes (it was probably under one minute) of installing brand new batteries (2 AAA).Even as a classroom or meeting room aid, the inconsistency of the beam (fading in and out) make it a poor option. The only upside in those settings is that the beam at its brightest is not glaring when it bounces off a white board causing your audience to squint.It could be my bad luck of the draw, but why take a chance with other good options out there for the same price? You got to habe one of these. At an accident scene I could direct traffic away from emergency personnel with precision. They were thankful I had it. It makes a beam of light that's easy to see. I won't go without it. I actually bought it to use to get help if I crashed my motorcycle off road. And yes, you do not want to shine this at anyone's eyes. Shining it at aircraft will get you out in jail. Use it properly and with good judgement. Not a toy. Great for pointing things out on videos too.

After about 30 minutes of use the laser seems much dimmer, and will alternate between dim and bright. Not sure if it just drained the AAA batteries really fast or it's faulty.

Very Nice.But if you want something with Interchangeable Designs Get a Set if you can find it.

...buyer beware... these are very easy to knock out of alignment. One of the lasers I received was defective (out of alignment) and the other was "okay". I will not purchase again and cannot recommend it.

Works great, go this to play with my cats with, no problems bright green beam the cats and kids love it.
