Fantastic book
This book is an inspiration. The editor Carolyn Rose Gimian has sifted through the roughly 2,000 talks Chogyam Trungpa gave on meditation and mindfulness and pulled together his pith instructions and witty observations. It is best read slowly so you can absorb the wisdom. If you follow his instructions, you will establish a strong meditation and mindfulness practice.

Chogyam is clear, lucid and brilliant. It's all the more amazing since English was not his native language. This book, Mindfulness in Action, makes the case, with simplicity and thoroughness, for what mindfulness & meditation really are and why we should practice.

I have studied & practiced meditation for years, and I'm particularly familiar with the teachings of Chogyam Trungpa - which at some times need several readings or even several years to have even an incling of what he's on about.....this one is different.Expertly compiled and edited, this is the master text of meditation practice on the cushion, and its extension in post meditation.Some content may seem basic and easy to grasp, but do not underestimate how potent these teachings are. This is strong medicine! what has been communicated is both the beginning instructions along side the most advanced teachings available, seamlessly.This book is a masterpiece.

I love the works of Chogyam Trungpa
I love the works of Chogyam Trungpa...he really understood human nature, and how to elevate yourself in very simple day-to-day adjustments in your whole idea of who you are and how to approach your life. Wonderful book, added to "Shambhalla" already a treasure in my collection. A must read also!
