Review ''I read - and wrote all over - my copy of Life Incorporated in two back to back sessions. The reason it was two sessions rather than one was because I had to to stop, gather myself, and reflect on the lessons I'd already learned from the first two chapters alone. Halley Bock hasn't written just another self-help tome for a narcissistic generation - she's written a searingly honest, immediately practical road map for anyone who wants to find, re-discover, re-position, or just polish their north star. Buy it, learn the lessons, work the exercises, and I guarantee you'll put down Life, Incorporated with a renewed sense of who you are and what you're here to do.'' Les McKeown, Best-selling author of Predictable Success: Getting Your Organization on the Growth Track--and Keeping It There ''OUR work has always supported the fact that living with PURPOSE & INTENTION and staying connected to the PROCESS will drive results. In Life Incorporated, Halley proves yet again that YOU can choose YOUR life and daily ACTION to drive YOUR success.'' - Ben Newman, Performance Coach for 5-straight NCAA Div I Football Champion and author of Leave YOUR Legacy: The Power to Unleash Your Greatness ''Mindfulness may not be an easy skill to master, but Halley Bock's Life, Incorporated will help you get there. Through personal anecdotes and practical tips anyone can employ right now, she takes the reader on their own journey of self-discovery in the process.'' - Kristin McGee, Celebrity Yoga Instructor ''At last, we have an author who has taken the genre of 'self help' and completely transformed it into what it should be: a real, practical, and essential roadmap for life. Halley tells a story that will engage you and then backs it up with approachable, actionable, and most of all, doable steps you can take immediately to take control of your life and make it what you want it to be. Halley's tested and well-researched guidance combined with an easy-to-read style make this book a must-have for anyone looking to make their lives better.'' -- Ann Herrmann-Nehdi, CEO and co-author of The Whole Brain Business Book Read more About the Author Halley Bock is the founder and CEO of Life, Incorporated an organization that fosters mindful connection in all areas of life as the means to experience a wholehearted, fulfilling, and joyful life. Are you a Millennial? This is a must read!
If you were born in the generation of "millennials", you absolutely need to spend time with yourself and this book. If you haven't noticed (you probably have), we live in a very fast paced world with people who roam around staring down at their devices like mindless drones. Culturally, we've exponentially, and silently, increased the speed at which things are expected to get done sacrificing friends, family, and the wellbeing of self. We've forgotten how to communicate with each other. Most importantly, we've forgotten how to communicate with ourselves. This book acts as a wake-up call for those who have slipped and need help getting back to a more productive and meaningful life. This book dives into practical ways to bring back mindfulness (which is something we've all lost). Halley Bock has a unique writing style—it's like she's with you having a conversation, a real conversation. I'm not big into 'self-help' books because most of them are written in a way that implies everything I am doing is wrong. This book is NOT like that. This book is a dialog, an open conversation, a deep insight into Bock's personal experiences, and she shares them as experiences not instructionals. I highly recommend you take part in the journal activities and exercises throughout the book. Absolutely nothing is missing from this wholehearted journey to a better living—starting from a strong foundation of roots up through being intentional with all of your thoughts and actions. We're all in this world together, it's time to get back to helping each other so that we can help ourselves.

Everything to gain
I am glad you found your way to Halley's book. Allow me to be as direct as possible- I wholeheartedly believe you should, and hope you actually do, read this book. Another reviewer discussed investing in allowing Halley to walk along a path and guide you for a bit. The reward at the end (to say nothing of during the actual work) is a more evolved self. Heady stuff? Well, I am sure Halley would say it was more balanced between head and heart. I also agree with the reviewer that any attempt to summarize, paraphrase, cliff-note the work would be completely diminishing and derivative at best. So, let me offer a few ideas that might help you to decide to...READ THE BOOK!Halley has sincerely crafted an empathetic process formulated in the form of a book as a ignition point. She has developed a unified approach to support and create each aspect of the incremental improvement process.Halley eats her own dog food. She offers her personal challenges and successes with the sole purpose of serving her reader with the most impact. (Knowing the typical fodder in the category of work, this novelty alone would make it worth the read). In all fairness, I am partial to a design approach in this type of work. So, I do have a bias toward her perspective. The book is designed to be a working manual in harmony with inspiration to actually do the work. I am still working through the material but, I am working on it. How many books actually motivate you to do that? Maybe it is just me...I am sure that I will be unable to resist some deeper exegesis at some point. However for now maybe it will be enough (and fitting on the eve of Martin Luther King Jr.'s holiday) to share this. Very early in the book (pg. 10) in making sense of living inside out and outside in, Halley writes "It's a purposeful life- one deeply rooted in personal passion [...] your life is specific to you and not available for comparison." I want that life. The book is a launch toward embracing and living that ideal.

You are worth this book. You get invited into a front row seat for your best self!
This review is short because I think your reading time should be spent with THIS BOOK! And, actually, because of how Halley writes, you are spending time with her, the person. It's like if you made a cup of tea (or coffee, if you need a little boost) and invited a friend to sit at the kitchen table with you and talk about life. Not in a high faluttin' way but in an honest, real, vulnerable way. That what reading this book is like. And, that says a lot for someone that was a CEO and has written for high faluttin' rags like Forbes magazine. Here's the coolest part... when I turned the last page of the book, I looked up and instead of Halley Bock sitting at my kitchen table with me, it was my best self looking at me, extending her hand and asking me to walk towards her. It's Halley's invitation and her great activities that allowed that to happen.

Insightful deconstruction of some of life's everyday difficulties with great examples to help course-correct.
Halley has deconstructed a complex and messy aspect of most of our lives and delivered an insightful, organized, well thought out, practical guide on how to wrestle that bear to the ground! The exercises are very useful, made more effective by many of her own examples, where we aren't left to fend for ourselves. Her honesty and realness recounting her own struggles, with her obvious sense of humor, provides great depth to the subject matter. If you're stuck or looking for what's next or just seeking more out of life and relationships in general, this book is for you.

Awesome book!
This book came into my life exactly when I needed it. I felt it was written for me. One part of the book is about dealing with the toxic people in our lives. Getting the courage to prune the toxic people from my life has been a challenge for the past two decades. I know feel prepared to do what I need. Halley's openness and vulnerability while she was sharing her stories made it very clear that this was not just a book, but something she had lived and continues to live. So glad she wrote this book. I have already given copies to friends!
