Pictures won't do it justice, so just buy it. Sound quality is amazing on double black 180 gram vinyl. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Something Different This Time *by A***9 on October 17, 2022* So I just gave this ‘new’ CD from Rammstein a listen (I realize I am a bit late to the party, but at least I made it)… and my first impression is ‘it sounds like them, and yet it doesn’t sound like them at the same time’.Rammstein has always been a bit difficult to define musically; they are constantly experimenting with different sounds, so I expected this much. But to me this material sounds a little bit more ‘toned down’ than any of their previous albums. According to my ears, about half the songs seem to be missing those hard, funky, strong guitar-and-bass riffs that Rammstein has become so well-known for. I know that Richard (Kruspe) has a side project (Emigrate) that he is also involved in; so maybe this time around he was just not as involved in the process of developing the music (which would explain, at least partially, this new change in sound). The guitars are there, yes (and there are a few tracks that remind me of the ‘old’ Rammstein)… but this time around, the sound is a noticeable departure from what fans may be more used to hearing.All of this said, it IS still them (at the end of the day, certainly). Till’s vocal work remains top notch (in some of the songs, like ‘Lügen‘ he continues to deliver exciting, innovative vocal tricks); and there are many new German words that I have never seen before. But in some of the songs, it almost feels like they are hesitating - for what reason, I can’t possibly guess. The songs have a more mellow feel to them - and if you listen to the album right before this one, you can easily hear that there is a definite difference. To me though, this is not a band where ‘mellow’ is ever a defining word!It will be interesting to see, whether this ‘new sound’ is something the band plans to keep around, or if they will return to their more familiar, ‘harder’ tracks. Are they deliberately ‘just mellowing out’, or is some of this ‘toning down’ a result of the (previous) COVID situation? Or are they just getting to a point where they can’t ‘rock out’ like they used to (due to factors like age)?Only time will tell… in the meantime I will spend some time listening to this most recent version of the greatest German band in the world! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Might be my favorite Rammstein record! *by F***D on May 14, 2022* From song one you can tell Flake's keyboards are gonna showcase this album and it does and all for the better. Song no.2 which is the title track is such an elegant ballad that harkens to songs like, Seeman, Ohne Dich, and Fruhlin in Paris, very emotional and intimate. Song no.3 Schwarz has a great chorus and the piano melodie are phenomenal. Song no.4 Giftig has a great great crunchy riff and with great electronic keys to it, a great sweet banger. Song no. 5 ZickZack, this song is such a party song that'll sit comfortably with, Ich Will, Keine Lust and Du Hast, fantastic chorus too. Song no.6 OK this song continues the momentum of the groove started by, Giftig and the riffs are strong in this song, no filler. Song no.7 Meine Teigen slows things a bit, not too much just enough to perfectly balance this album, great chorus once again. Song no. 8 Angst, the heaviest and most politically intense song Rammstein has ever written and it might their best banger ever, ZERO filler on this song, heavy groovy, ominous, phenomenal vocal delivery by Till (can't wait to hear this live) favorite song on the record. Song no. 9 Dicke Titten is Rammstein's callout on our own shallow peeves on what want out of others, this song has fun riffs a great 1950's carny theme intro and the chorus is so much fun and goofy stands along with, Keine Lust, Buck Dich, Zwitter, Auslander, and Pussy. Song no. 10 Lugen, which is probably my second favorite song, the keyboard intro is great, Tills spoken words for this song is so great and the chorus is beautiful and there's a part where Till uses a vocal synthesizer and it works shockingly well, love this song. Song no.2 Adieu, I hope it's not actually goodbye, but if it is it landed on a VERY HIGH NOTE. This closer stands with the likes of Amore and Nebel, has a very Arabic melody to it and the chorus is good and it ends the album perfectly. Seen this band three times, seeing them in Philly this year and maybe in New York.
