Buy this book if you're training for your CCENT/CCNA!
Short answer:This book is excellent.Long answer:This book is extremely thorough. As far as I can tell, nothing has been left to chance. The format of the book is designed to gradually break you into the concepts, culminating in each chapter using the material from the previous ones. You will need a homelab (or GNS3) to utilize the every lab in the book, but that's expected (and I encourage you to invest in good hardware). The only downside I can see to this is the occasional missing letter/grammatical error, however, they are in non-critical places and don't detract from the overall quality of the book.P.S. Don't forget to take the online exams that are linked in the book at the end of each chapter!

Great Learning Tool For CCNA
I read the Introduction (I hardly ever read book introductions) and it has very useful study tips explaining to glance/read the entire book each day, then focus/study on one chapter each day. I am on chapter 2 now. Anyway, I have also purchased the CCNA Routing and Switching 200-125 Official Cert Guide Library from Cisco Press and it is so dry and not too much fun to read. Don't get me wrong... I will continue to use this book, too. It's just that CCNA Simplified is more interesting and condensed with all the most useful information, mini labs, and is chock full of tips, diagrams and more, to get me on my way to passing my CCNA exam, finally!! I took the CCNA exam a month ago and failed. I won't fail it on my next attempt. This book will get me there and pass the CCNA at last! One thing I think this book needs is an Index. Most technical books have an index. Not this one. I guess the Table of Contents could sort of serve as an index, maybe. However, I am still giving 5 stars... this book is just fantastic! Good job by author: Paul Browning!

Removes the Fluff, Focuses on Application
Mr. Browning and his colleagues never fail to impress or deliver. This will be my third CCNA re-certification, and his publications make it easier every time. I utilized the Cisco Press series for my first certification and it too me nearly a year. For my re-cert, I used Mr. Browning's "CCNA in 60 Days", and I didn't think it could get any better. Mr. Browning has outdone himself yet again with "Cisco CCNA Simplified". His ability to combine knowledge of the current state of the exam along with practical application not only cuts out the "fluff" found in other publications, but also relies heavy on lab experience and theoretical knowledge. He immediately gets to the the "meat and potatoes" of exam content and delivers it in an all-encompassing yet easily accessible format. With all of the different methods in use for Cisco Certification learning, it is quite reassuring to know that I will be able to utilize Mr. Browning's publications and all of the many other resources he provides as I work my way up to a CCIE.

Excellent book
I bought this book by doing an extensive researching online. As you may know, there are a lot of study book guides out there. I wasn’t sure which one to get. When I decided to buy it, I wasn’t sure yet. I have to tell you something. I’m a Civil Engeenier who decided to make a huge change in my career / life into the networking fild. I have 0 work field experience. Then, I started reading every day. What I read every day is more than enough to understating every basic and advance details and information on every content on it. This book is easy to follow and it has a very interesting study method. Every page you read you will get more familiar and confident with any topic on the book. It cover all topics (ICND1, ICND2 and CCNA), labs and exams tips. I made my best option on getting this book for sure. If you want to success and achieve CCNA Certification then look no further. I’m really placed with this study guide.

Great resource
I bought Mr Browning's book along with his online curriculum and studied hard and passed my CCNA.I have used the book as a desktop reference on a number of occasions as well.Only negative is that is doesn't have an index, so if you know what you are looking for, but don't know exactly where it is - you will have to look over the entire glossary to find it.

CCNA Simplified
Don't use this as your only study resource, but this would be a great start for your CCNA exams. Also get a good Network+ study guide because as Paul has mentioned there is just way to much to cover on the CCNA Simplified, also if it was included it would drive up the price. If I was 35 years younger I might not have to use the Network+ study guide, but as you get allot older the information doesn't stink in as it did when I was 21. Like it Bob Seger in his song Like a rock, "Twenty years now. Where'd they go?" I'll be 57 on March 21 2019.

CCNA Simplified
An excellent, one-stop resource for studying for your CCNA. Each chapter contains a helpful syllabus at the beginning, access to an exam that you can use to make sure the material has "sunk in," and labs with clear cut objectives. The writing is straightforward and easy to understand with helpful graphics along the way. I would highly recommend this book to anyone studying for their CCNA.

CCNA has been truly simplified by Mr. Browning and his associates
I've been very happy with this book. You can tell it's written by people who work in the industry and I've learned a lot of new things while reviewing for the exam. I've used other Cisco books to study before, but never felt ready to take the exam. With this book I do.

Excellent publication for a complete novice like myself who
Excellent publication for a complete novice like myself who, although i have experience of computers and use them regularly i am more or less ignorant of Cisco CCNA Networking & Routing but will shortly start evening classes at college to begin the process of obtaining this coveted qualification. This book is well written in plain English and very well laid out and i suspect it will be the ideal companion to my college class and studies. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent CCNA guide!!
I have an earlier print version which, along with Paul's subnetting guide, helped ease me into what was for me at the time (2008), a nerve-wracking first time experience, teaching Cisco at a Further Education College. This version surpasses my original, and that was excellent. Paul, together with high calibre collaborators, has put together the best CCNA guide I have seen. The written content really does simplify some pretty complex topics, and the graphical images are crisp and clear. As always Paul provides detailed videos to accompany the material (however, do the labs!!!) I am constantly encouraging my students to get professional quals.(even if they have a degree), so as an example, I will be using this and the mini-labs to upgrade my CCNA which is now (as well as my other quals) woefully out of date. I prefer the kindle version, because if I had print versions for all my Computing reference books, I would need a warehouse!

Excellent study guide
I own many of the Simplified books and bought this to brush up on my CCNA R&S skills. The writers have a great ability to condense all the required material into an easy to read and understand format. The book provides all the theory material you will need to know to be successful in the exam and includes labs to aid understanding of the concepts. An excellent study guide.

You WILL pass
Follow what Paul says and you WILL pass your exams.I have been using INE, Cisco Labs and read other guides. This guide helps to put the theory in to context.I'd highly recommend Cisco CCNA in 60 days by Paul too. If you use both books and do exactly what Paul says, you will pass easily.

Useful if you like learning through theory
The content is probably really useful but can't vouch that it is. After a few pages I realised that I don't learn very well by reading a lot of text. I gave up and started watching videos and using packet tracer for a more practical learning experience.
