Disney Songs For Ukulele

Lacks chord variations and Tab
There is no TAB in this book, which is a problem for a lot of beginners or others who only want TAB. While this can easily be a complaint made by someone who doesn't want to learn how to read real music, it seems silly that they don't put the TAB in as well as the actual music since most books do that and more and more people are learning TAB (which I'll admit, is not really a good thing). Either way, it would be nice if they said this on the cover or in the description since most simplistic sheet music books either have TAB or say if they have it or dont. The main problem is that the chords for each song are basically the same few chords over and over again (throughout the book). I know that the main variation per song is in the singing melody but seriously, if you abide by the chords only, not only will you never recognize what you are playing, all songs will sound the same.Another comment I must make is that standard single-note sheet music is not as magical as it should be. The Ukulele has great range that can combine strumming along with finger style (playing 1 to 4 string at the same time). It would be nice to add a little complexity to these songs by adding a variety of multi-notes in the music.Overall, aside from my three issues stated above, this is a nice book. The variety of Disney songs is great even though it would be nice to have a few more modern classics, the collection is solid. If you must have tab music, avoid this book at all costs. If you want to learn the songs and know how to read music or would enjoy learning, this is a great buy at a great value. In the end, if more detail (options) were put into this book it would be perfect.

good, but could be better
I was so excited when I saw that someone made a Disney ukulele book. However, there are a couple things keeping me from giving this book five stars. I question some of the song choices - there are a lot of great ones, but I'm not sure why they put two High School Musical songs in with a bunch of classic Disney songs like "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes." Also, I'm not a huge fan of the layout of the music. It has the chords, the words, and simple music notation that has only the melody. A tab would be nice, but if not a tab, I wish that the music notation had more than the simple melody. If I try to play the notes individually, I have to figure out harmonies myself to make it sound like an actual song, and this is really time consuming. Overall though, its a good book, especially for beginners who just want it for the chords.

Very nice Disney ukukele songbook
This was a huge hit with my daughter who sings and and plays ukulele. She is pregnant with her first child and is due in four months. She likes to let the uke resonate on her stomach while she sings Disney songs. Sure, you can get a lot of tabs and lyrics on the internet, but as a musician, I can tell you that having it right in front of you in paperback form is very convenient. Great songs, too and sweet chord progressions. If you don't play the uke, yet, this would sure be a fun book to learn how to play it with.

Great for all skill level.
Songs are close to being accurate. Although it's not composed in the same key as the originals. You can definitely tell what songyou are playing. A must have for beginner - advanced players. It does have a lot of songs. Even though it does have a lot of unusual chords. It's not too hard that beginners can't pick it up. My favorite song to play from this is Beauty and the Beast.

Missing some classics.
Overall, a nice little songbook, I particularly like the cover, although I believe that Mickey is playing a Hawaiian steel guitar, not a ukulele. My only complaint is the selection of tunes - with many classics omitted. This may just be a matter of taste, since I'm an old geezer and like older songs. Younger strummers probably wish there were more of the recent songs. Personally, I would have preferred a bigger (even if more expensive) book containing many more tunes.

Easy to follow
This was a great book for my Disney-loving Uke-playing self. It reads easily with tabs above each chord change. I'm a beginner, so this is necessary for me at this time.My only complaint is that one or two songs require a page turn, which is difficult when both hands are occupied with, you know, playing the ukulele.I would love to see a sequel or two to this one! More songs, more movies covered!

Fun book for beginners to more advanced ukulele players
I bought this to go along with the ukulele that I bought for my husband for Christmas. He loves the book and has told me this several times in the first few days how happy he is to have Disney songs to play. Some of his beginner favorites are zip-a-dee-doo-da and Chim-chiminee. It is also helpful because it has the actual sheet music for the songs, but then has the cords listed with the music, along with the words.

Great for this OC boy
I bought this book to learn some of the Disney songs on my Uke. They are fun. This is a music book, so for someone who is a beginner, it isn't like the tutorials on YouTube. It has the chords, notes, and lyrics. Strum patterns are ambiguous to fit the tradition of playing a uke. With practice and playing along with the songs I have, I have come to enjoy having this book as a reference.

Good if you already know some chords.
Good selection of Disney songs with the lyrics etc for you. Maybe a little hard for a complete beginner but I was able to play a few of the songs.
