**read reviews** prior to purchase!! A little extra effort into researching the product you want to buy will save you a lot of time and money eventually. This is a cheap Chinese product imitation!! I thought since I hardly ever need to use this kind of tool, I could purchase a lower quality item justifiably. Note to self: Do not scimp on physical safety!!! This item fell apart the first time I attempted to fill it. Upon insertion of the butane tip into the valve, the entire piece split into three sections and would not reassemble properly. Being concerned with the item's self-destruction, I returned it and spent the additional money on a quality item who's name (brand) I trust with my physical well-being.

Extremely cheap design. Not nearly as much control over flame temp as is suggested. The outer silver shell slides right off when you are trying to fill the tank so you have to take it off in order to be able to grip the device. The flame doesn't stay lit and the gas doesn't release at a consistent rate so it is difficult to maintain heat for anything other than minor soldering.Absolutely worthless - wish I had believed the other reviewers. Great little gas iron !
Great iron about 50 watts variable butane , lasts 20-mins per fill ! I had a benzomatic that went dead so this is made just like it but more wattage on high and works well ! Handy w no cords plenty of tips !-hot knife , soldering , etc.
