Brass doesn't spark when it hits steel - an important thing to know
I was cleaning the filthy, balky piezo electrodes in my Napoleon gas grill earlier this summer (2021) and I was using an spray electronic control cleaner in a can. It was working really well with a small nylon brush.I cleaned all 4 electrodes and picked up my STEEL wire brush to remove some crud from the grill bottom. What I didn't take into account was that the electronic control spray cleaner has a high heptane content. Heptane is highly flammable. My trusty Ring camera recorded the event. Pride prevented me from attaching the actual video - my brothers are still torturing me. See the still photo from that video as proof of concept. The steel wires in the brush hit some steel bolt heads, it sparked and ignited the heptane which is also apparently heavier than air that was laying in wait at the bottom of the grill box.A small wall of flame washed up my leather apron into my face. You can see the flames above my right shoulder in the photo. I could smell burnt hair for the next 6 hours. It's not an odor that washes away with ease.So I changed all interior grill hardware to stainless and ordered this brass brush. Problem solved. Hope that helps!

Great Product
I’ve used it several times cleaning engines and such; it works very well and is still in perfect condition.

Great brass brush
This is a great brass brush. The bristles are strong enough and sturdy enough to do the job. I've been using it to restore the aluminum alloy engine of an old motorcycle and it's working great. The bristles seem to be real brass (not just brass-coloured steel) and it's been holding up well. I might even buy another one if the job drags on.

Great Value
Good quality at a good price. Cleans grill plates very well and so far at least the bristles stay in place. Highly recommended.

Does well for what I need it for. I ...
Does well for what I need it for. I own a gas grill with ceramic coated, cast iron grates and the brass bristles help to prevent from removing the ceramic coating when removing debris. They gum up after a while but at this price I don't mind replacing them every season or so. Chef recommends!
