I like that they completed the look on a "blackout" parts bass I got from my local pawn shop. I like the low price - very affordable. I dislike the chipped paint/finish on one of the paddles. I dislike having to drill new screw holes for mounting. I like that they covered the old screw holes. I dislike the play in the peg when de-tuning. I like that they hold tune, as long as I "tune up" (i.e. bring the string up to pitch from flat when tuning).

Holes in plates are not equal to a standard p or j bass, you will have to redrill holes but risk stripping. Gears are not proper worm gears, they are straight tooth and will bend the teeth(see first picture). The worm gear on the peg will also strip out and slip under normal string tension. Extremely displeased. Second disappointing product from this seller and will avoid buying from them in the future.

They look great super excited... I am remodeling my jazz bass squire. The problem is that the wholes in the head are too small. I need to find the right size drill bit and drill some new wholes. It has become a project but it is interesting to say the least. Does anyone know the correct size of these tuning mechanisms?

I went out looking for a nice Feel jazz bass, and came home with a Squier affinity that played like a dream. The only problem is the tuners from the factory are atrocious. Flimsy and rickety and awful. I had to drill my holes in the headstock out to 11/16" to fit these tuners, and drill new holes. I knew 100% they would not be a bolt on for my Squier, so I bought these with the expectation do that work. These are smooth and solid, very happy. Most tuners are so crazy overpriced for what they are.

3 out of 4 of the tuners I got are junk. They bind up and the gears do not mesh well with the worm gear. I tried playing with the gear alignment and it helped a bit but a lot of material gets stripped off and soon the teeth probably won't make any contact.
