Unreliable
These switches require the eWeLink app, and eWeLink is completely unreliable. When I first installed the switches they worked fine. But now that they have been installed for a few weeks they only work intermittently. But it's not the switches themselves, it's the eWeLink app. It has to communicate with a server in China in order to turn the switches on or off, and that connection is unreliable. Sometimes when I tell Alexa to turn on the lights she turns them on. Other times she replies "[device] isn't responding". It's super-irritating. They were cool at first, now they are just a pain. I'm going to remove them as soon as I find a replacement that doesn't use eWeLink.I have uninstalled and reinstalled eWeLink, I have set up a new eWeLink account. I have deleted the switch from the app and rediscovered them. But still, the switches only work intermittently.Also... I'm certain the eWeLink app is the problem because I have another switch from a different manufacturer that has the exact same problem. I also have two lamp plugs from a different manufacturer that work fine, but they use the KMC Smart app, not eWeLink.

Does NOT work with Alexa---WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
Initially I had problems registering the Ewelink app, but discovered the confirmation emails were being blocked by a spam filter. Oncew I got past that hurdle, the installation was easy. The switches work well with Alexa.Wiring the switches is quite a challenge when the wire is stranded and not a solid copper wire. The issue with the stranded wire is twisting it tight enough so it fits into the very small fittings with the small screws to hold the wire securely and safely. The stripped end of the wire can only be about an 1/8" long to fit inside those screw-down fittings. If I had recommendations, I would suggest a little larger holes where the wires are inserted and maybe a little better design of the final screw-downs that tighten down on the cords to secure the wires from pulling out of the attachment fittings. You definitely do not want to trust the switches in situations where any real pulling tension is exerted on the wires, since you would then have exposed hot wires.Another suggestion is to have a scheduling option for "off at dust and on at sunrise" I like that option found oWARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!UPDATE-December 2018. DOES NOT WORK WITH ALEXA ANYMORE. Amazon should stop claiming that it does.

Product works well, software's fair enough
Using these to control two lamps with Alexa. Hardware-wise seem good - the screw terminals are light duty and are easy to twist in their PCB mount (a bit worrying) and its tight to get decent 16AWG wire in there for the 240V/10A rated operation. The plastic terminal covers fit tightly (again close fit with the correct wire). Software to set up not bad user-wise (requires making a free login for their service, then installing the skill in Alexa and linking them). Good documentation on connecting to Alexa, good documentation on how to wire it for your application. UI on the phone is pretty good. Hardware is holding up. Do recommend.

This switch is working great even though the instruction is a little confuse
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This switch is working great even though the instruction is a little confuse. But I figured it out. I bought 6 and able to control them with google home device. It’s really cool. As I had some hiccup to set it up, I give some short instruction here for anyone has the same problem.1. Download EWeLink app2. Connect the switch to power. I use 2 wires to connect it to 110v to make sure it works before connecting it to the light I want to control.3. Hold the little black button until the LED flashing quickly.4. Turn ewelink app on your phone then go to your phone WiFi setting. Yes, your phone WiFi setting. You will see the switch’s WiFi and connect to that WiFi instead of your home Wifi. Now go back to ewelink app and follow the prompts in order to connect the switch to your home WiFi.I would have given it 5 stars if the apps shows thw switches offline sometimes even though the indicator is solid green and the light is on. I have sent request but there's no respond.

Worked to start with
I installed two of these switches in ceiling fans and they worked perfectly to begin with. Then suddenly stopped working with Alexa. Online discovered others with same problem, possibly because of an "upgrade" to the app. I will be returning the two switches I purchased. No way to undo the "upgrade" per Sonoff.Kitchenhoney customer service sent me two new wireless remote switches. These two are currently working fine and I have changed my review to 3 stars because of their excellent response. Will update later on when I see how consistent these two are.

Easy to install and lots of fun
Easy to install and lots of fun, great for DIY 'smartening' of household devices. Sonoff switch is sturdy and small enough to attach easily to appliances for additional utility.

Questionable quality
1 DOA 1 worked in a package of 2. The eWelink app is worth 1 start at best. You're better off looking for something SmartLife compatible if your staying on the budget side, or go with a TP-Link.

very flexible!
stock firmware works fine but I did flash tasmota on the second one. both versions of firmware work great. be careful not to over tighten the power connectors, you can twist them right off
