Review: Easy to use - These are great simple dimmers that were easy to install in a pair of bedside lamps. If you’re familiar with any kind of basic lamp wiring you won’t even need instructions. The only thing is you really have to screw the housing on tightly to get it to fit snug. They work flawlessly.
Review: Works nicely - the internal adjustment is key as part of the setup - I used this switch on an accent lap that I use as a nightlight. I needed the lamp to be dimmable and this provided a non-bulky solution attached to the lamp itself vs an outlet dimmer. The installation was straight forward following the cable's coding with the wider plug prong to identify the neutral cable vs the live cable. Even that the dimmer is a bigger that what I'd like it ideally to be, it's ok. Once I finished installing it, when setting it in the lowest possible setting the light was dim but with time became brighter, and was not possible to get it at a lower level, but by opening the plug again and adjusting the internal potentiometer I was able to set it to a wider range, from no brightness at all to full brightness, so it works perfectly for the use I intended it for. Be very cautious when adjusting the internal potentiometer, since you'll have the live wires exposed, so wear rubber gloves and use an isolated screwdriver.

Even that the dimmer is a bigger that what I'd like it ideally to be, it's ok. Once I finished installing it, when setting it in the lowest possible setting the light was dim but with time became brighter, and was not possible to get it at a lower level, but by opening the plug again and adjusting the internal potentiometer I was able to set it to a wider range, from no brightness at all to full brightness, so it works perfectly for the use I intended it for. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Work well when used as intended

I installed these 2 dimmers on a pair of bedside lamps that use one 40w incandescent ea. They work great - no buzzing or anything (& I have extremely sensitive hearing for that kind of electronic noise - can't sleep if there's a non-LED TV in the room!). They do only go down to approx 20% dim before clicking off, but I also have the adjustment screw in the casing all the way up given that full bright is only 40w on these anyway, and I would guess that a larger wattage would allow the adjustment to be able to dim further. The instructions included were, as others noted, not worth much, and that's saying something since I can usually figure out even the worst furniture ones! Lol. I just followed the instructions left in picture reviews with text on them that someone else very helpfully gave all of us! Whoever you are, you're awesome! One star off for the quality of the included screws (would have only been 1/2 off if that were an option). Because they're made of a softer metal (AL?) & the hole in the housing is not pre-threaded, all but one stripped out on the 1st unit before I could get it tightened. It's a minor detail, because better screws are a few cents ea at the local hardware store, but I would have been far more irritated than I was if I didn't have some already in my home kit of random leftovers from past projects & had to wait til morning and leave the house just over that.
